Political discussions about everything

Hillary was the just the tip of the iceberg, it's coming out there may be a long list of Obama appointees/Czars who operate covertly avoiding public scrutiny by communicating on non government communication system servers in their homes to avoid oversight or review. In other words as many have suspected we have a stealth government pulling the strings and covering their trails as they do it.

White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest was taken back by a direct question yesterday during his press briefing by being asked if Obama and his staff use private email accounts to conduct any government businesses. After a hesitation he responded that those that do are required to forward any government related emails from their private accounts to be stored on government servers. When pointed out if that's the case why Hillary never forwarded any of her Government emails while in office for four years and only recently sent some when told by the State Department she "had to do it", Earnest said that would be a question for the State Department not the White House. Earnest said he wouldn't speculate on who at times may use their private accounts to do government business but the White House is confident they comply with the law and forward those emails for storage.

Those that do! So there you have it.

She knew very well she was a crooked politician, just as Bill was.

Hillary was brighter than Lois Lerner, so she -- or one of her advisors -- set up an email system to hide
Yep, Hillary had to know this would come out, but she would rather face this than to have all her emails and crooked dealings exposed, she took a calculated risk that this would cause her least amount of harm.
#55135
I think that must have been exactly her calculation.

Based on two options, letting her actual email messages be seen, she selected hiding the entire server.

But the White House is now telling big lies about this in saying they didn't know. They did.

You CANNOT just set up your own email system and then have the W House accept your email. There's too many security issues.

So the White House knew all about Hilly's email.

Begs a few questions....

I wonder about the technical set-up of this server. Is it a Windows machine running Exchange, connected to the 'net with a Linksys POS firewall? Or is it a professionally designed, high quality server system with very robust security protection in place? Did it meet basic government specs for required security? Who monitored the system for security breach attempts? Someone would have to be the admin over this rig.

Who designed/installed this system? Hillary? Chelsea? The maid? I would think that the IT guy that installed this system would know that the whole thing was illegal. My bet is a guy that Hillary knew from g'ment IT services was tapped for the design implementation service. A little moonlighting job. This guy would have to know the laws. He therefore would be criminally liable as an accessory to the crime, or maybe from a conspiracy standpoint.
#55186
I would think that the IT guy that installed this system would know that the whole thing was illegal.
The scary part is even if this IT person installed the highest level of security, he/she still had access to our State Department's top secrets and inner thoughts/strategy that would have been worth hundred's of millions $$$ to our enemies, maybe that explains why every one of Obama strategies have failed and our enemies have always been one step ahead of the Obama Administration. We may never no the damages Hillary attempts to hide her emails have cost this country.
#55189
I recall reading a report that the system was set up by one of the Clinton's most trusted aides and extremely knowledgeable in the technology. I don't recall the name and I now I can't even locate the link.

What's interesting is that the system was set up for Hillary's use when she became Secretary of State.
So she never intended to use government e-mail for any of her work.

Other Secretaries of State have used private e-mail accounts, but used the government e-mail as well.

Hillary is the only to use her private account exclusively and never used the government e-mail.

It's possible the e-mails may shed light on a more important issue and that is the contributions made by foreign governments to the Clinton Foundation while Hillary was Secretary of State.

While Secretary of State, the Clintons received a donation of $500,000 from the Algerian government in 2010. The "following week" Secretary of State Clinton, lobbied Congress and the White House for Algerian aid resulting in a $3 billion dollar aid package to Algeria. It's a per se criminal offense just as her hidden emails. The big question is why she hasn't been arrested or charged for those and other criminal offenses.

Obviously, the State Dept should request the entire server.

Which would force Hillary to say, dang, I did a deep reformat on that server just yesterday and alas all of my email except the selected ones I turned over, well, dang it they were erased.

Even by the low standards of Clintonian sleaze, this is pretty shocking.
#55203
Obviously, the State Dept should request the entire server.
Actually the DOJ should have seized it "the moment" they learned she stored government emails on it. There can't be one justice system for the people and other system for the elite, that's called dictatorship.

The Clintons probably switched servers every other day and they've all been turned into ashes. There won't be anything on the server that Hillary would turn over that she doesn't want everyone to see. The public's only hope is that their IT person kept backup copies and is willing to sell them for the right price.

Yes...that is true for all IT guys. They have the keys to the kingdom.

The Secretary of State. Third in line for the Presidency. Kinda high up there.

So, it has been reported that she used this server exclusively for e-mail in her position.
WTF? Exclusively. What the hell was the e-mail address? It couldn't be the same address as the official S.O.S. that should have been used. Spoofed? Was this set up with some kind of spoofing disguise?

Anyway, the White House now says they only found out about this server by watching the media reporting.

WTF again.....this admin....jeezuz h fucking christ....ain't nothing true that comes from this bunch.
Nothing.

Elk...what was in those e-mails huh? You seem to know what it wasn't. What then was it?
#55239
I posted an error.....Secretary of State is fourth in line for the Presidency. My error.

Hillary's error to flagrantly flaunt the law, feeling that she is above it all.

And the White House.....how in the hell could they NOT KNOW until they read or heard it on the news?

Out and out lie.
#55240

When Obama said the first he learned of it was when watching CNN I though for sure the reporter would break out laughing, but no he just said OK. It's about time these liars are called out on their lies the moment they lie by who ever they lie to. Lie by the Obama Administration has to be called out, enough is enough.
#55256
So now, after they realized that the story of Obama not knowing wouldn't work, Josh Earnest said Obama did know but didn't understand the legal implications.

Say, didn't he go to Harvard Law?

So Obama thought a cabinet secretary could do a public job and not obey federal records laws?

Imagine the liberal reaction if Cheney had set up a private email server in his house to violent the law and have secret email.
Talk about hypocrisy...Forbestardo will be criticizing the Bush admin any second now!!!

G dubya deleted some 20 MILLION emails or what ever number was. I bet the ink on the delete keys must have been worn out when they were finished!!!

UM

Jeb Bush used the same setup as Clinton.

And...OH...Jeb Bush cherry picked the emails that were released.

Big Brother G Dubya deleted millions

How Ironic...

Any federal employee knows that his work products don't belong to him personally.

Hillary knew that, but also knew her own dishonest nature and so she set up a private email server.

Already she admits to having deleted certain email, and that surely related to her lies about (e.g.) Benghazi.

Just as with the IRS, this reeks of dishonesty.

UM.....does that make it right? HUH? Does that make it right that a Bush(s) has done the same thing?
DOES IT FUCKING MAKE IT RIGHT????!!!!!! ELK!

Goddamn fucking Elk......you don't think at all beyond your partisan viewpoint.

It was wrong for Bush, and it is wrong for Clinton. Dipshit.

I want to hear you condemn Clinton for doing this, because it is WRONG! It is her way of avoiding providing subpoenaed documents. Plain and simple.

But you won't. You will just rev up your emoticon key......
#55296
You question the ethics of this, ELK??????
You say it is right...you defend Clinton....by pointing to past examples of the Bushes?

Is that your argument?

Well, you think the AP has any attorneys working there???? Oh...sorry...AP is the Associated Press.
Gotta spell it out for you, I forget.

AP is now sueing the State Dept for access to these e-mails. I would think that the legal team for the AP knows and has a valid legal argument that they think is a winner....don'tcha think ELK????

Well the AP thinks they have a winner, and is willing to spend bucks to prove it.

You fucking twit.
#55298
Hillary says she only used one phone and one personal e-mail......this after she had previously stated she used two phones, an IPhone and a Blackberry.

She says she will not turn over her server because it contains personal e-mails sent by Bubba.....but long ago Bubba said he doesn't do e-mails and admits to only doing 2 e-mails in his life, both while he was President.

Hillary insists on continuing her insult of our intelligence.

Yeah you criticize me for being a partisan, so what, do you really think I care.

Justme, Forbestardo, and Silly are partisans as well, so criticize them as well, other wise STFU you hypocrite.

And do you know who wants the documents? No it's not any law enforcement agency.

It's a house republican investigation! Suprise...Suprise!!! Chaffetz is conducting another "investigation." Yes Chaffetz is the dipshit who continues to pursue Bengzahi even after the republicans own endorsed investigations found out that the administration was not at fault. But the hard right decided to create a "Bengazhi Select Committee" which is code for an investigation that will be drawn out for political purposes until the 2016 elections.

OK so we now have this email controversy? And the house republicans are going to subpoena Clinton? For what?
Are they going to get her up for questioning?
Questioning about what?
The configuration of her private server?
Or is this some kind of criminal investigation?
Is there any kind of evidence that would indicate a crime was committed?
Or are the republicans using their subpoena power to conduct a fishing expedition? To find what?

OH BTW...If you didn't know. Jeb Bush also used a private server to conduct 'government business.' And as far as I am concerned, Clinton and Jeb Bush using private servers for government work is a non issue. Because they are required by law to archive are make available to the public, communications made during the course of their government duties...

So the AP is requesting to gain access to public records. Journalists make thousands of requests every year to access public records. Is that anything new?

I don't know...is there a "smoking gun" on the server?

Fucking moron!

#55321
See....Elk has nothing. The only argument he has is to refer to some other "event" that his nemesis' has what? Has perpetrated? Has done? Has what?

He (in his own little mind) thinks that by pointing out that previous pols have done the same thing....that makes Hil's faux-pas less of a problem.

Fuck you ELK. The Clintons are dirty, they have always been dirty, and regarding Hil vs Bill.....

Well the apple doesn't fall.....ah shit...you already know it.....
#55326
OH BTW...If you didn't know. Jeb Bush also used a private server to conduct 'government business....... ~~elk
Of course what Elk fails to mention is that Jeb was only Governor of Florida, not a Cabinet member.....and as Governor was subject to the Florida Freedom of Information Act that allows him to use private e-mail accounts to conduct government business.
