The liberal LA Times:

September 22, 2014, 4:46 PM

Naturally occurring changes in winds, not human-caused climate change, are responsible for most of the warming on land and in the sea along the West Coast of North America over the last century, a study has found.. The analysis challenges assumptions that the buildup of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has been a significant driver of the increase in temperatures observed over many decades in the ocean and along the coastline from Alaska to California.

I see johnny's poor language education does not enable him to discern a difference between "the West Coast of North America" and "the planet."

They're sorta alike, right? :geek:

"The study focused only on trends at the regional level and did not offer conclusions about the influence of naturally occurring winds on warming throughout the world If anything, the results reinforce what scientists have known for years: that global climate projections fall short in predicting how temperatures are actually changing at the regional scale."

^^^^I guess this is what johnflop wanted us to read the entire article for; to learn that he was essentially lying to us about what the article actually said, which is opposite of what he was implying it said.

Or this:
"The results may also reflect the fact that the northeast Pacific is an area of the globe where past studies have shown the "signal" of climate change is low relative to the "noise" of natural variability."

The Pacific Northwest model prediction by Johnstone was that the PNW would have a ten year lag from the rest of the continent before its temperatures started to rise along with the rest. What do you know, he was right.

Or this:
"There is no doubt that regionally, the changes in temperature are dominated by changes in the atmospheric circulation that likely have little or nothing to do with climate change," Trenberth said. But, he added, "this does not call into question the concept of global warming."

johnny tries to imply you can extrapolate over the entire globe what is a special case regional difference.
But of course, johnfibs doesn't ever bother to discuss what he posts. He just regurgitates.
It's all he's capable of.

And note that my first post, which johnny seems to hold in contempt, was entirely supported by the article.
When I'm right, johnfink still has to pretend I'm not, and even when his own article shows he failed to understand the content and proves him wrong, he still has to pretend he's right.

Clownslacker cannot read.

I am not a climate scientist, so I don't know whether anthropogenic warming is a valid theory.

What I have said is that the entire history of science is littered with instances of false certitude, and that it is entirely foolish to attempt to wrap leftist ideology around some scientific theory.

Tellingly, though, the LA Times, certainly a Left-leaning publication, published this article (one Clownsucker has not read).

"Tellingly, though, the LA Times, certainly a Left-leaning publication, published this article (one His Lordship has not read)."-johnfibs

How did I copy and paste quotations from the middle and end of the article if I hadn't read it, you moron?
How did I manage to find the paragraphs that contradict your idiocy if I hadn't read it, you prancing pratt?

"What I have said is that the entire history of science is littered with instances of false certitude, and that it is entirely foolish to attempt to wrap leftist ideology around some scientific theory."-johnstinks

^^^^And what does that have to do with the article you cherry picked, johnny?
There is nothing in the article that even vaguely supports your irrelevant platitude of professed ignorance or questions climate change, you illiterate buffoon.
In fact, it actually warns against doing so.

Young master Clownslacker, I've posted many times on climate change, and always said the same thing:

Nobody knows whether anthropogenic climate change is valid, and the entire history of science and math and physics (from Euclid, Newton, Copernicus, Brahe, Kepler, Lobachevsky, etc) reveals that false certitude is an enormous problem.

Do I expect a dolt such as Clowndoper to know any of those names or to comprehend a slightly subtle point of maintaining a healthy skepticism?

Of course not. Clownsucker has never heard the words "Eppur si muove" nor does he know their import in the history of science.

And yet it does move almost as fast and jiggly as Forbes' cellulited ass when JustFreedManMe beckons that it is time for Foley-instruction and Craig-stancing.

johndildo reveals a profound lack of understanding when it comes to false certitude in science.

Newton had no false certitude about his work. Most of his work still holds true today.
Newton never claimed any certitude about understanding all there is to know about physics, but his physics still apply and is used every day. It has only been shown to be limited.
And Euclid never claimed to know everything about mathematics, but his geometry is still used every day. There was never any false certitude about it. It is based on four axioms, which by definition are never seen as "certain". It was not proved wrong. It was shown to be limited, and that's all.
If johndumbfuck had bothered to take geometry, he would know this.

The same can be said of the others johnasshole lists.

And your fellow assholes who tortured Galileo were never examples of scientific false certitude, you bombastic braindead buffoon.
They were evil, mystical, anti-scientific fanatics who already knew that Galileo was right when they forced him to recant.
Rome did not doubt that the Earth revolved around the sun. They only feared that if people learned the truth, that the Bible was in error, it might damage their blind faith. Without ignorance, religion has no dupes to milk and control. Enforced ignorance is paramount to that sort. But not to scientists. They never preach false certitude.

johndimwitted can find very few examples, if any, of actual false scientific certitude in the history of science where the proponents of an idea claimed that they could not possibly be in error. Note that he has never actually posted one. He only hints at things he doesn't understand and expects others to nod and mumble "Mmm-hmh".

johnforbes is stupid.

Clowndoper wouldn't know this, but Newton was called an ideational "monarch" for the wide range of his mechanistic explanation of the universe.

Of course, some aspects remain from Newton and Euclid, but that was not the point.

The point was, with Euclid and Newton and many others, that math and science had arrived at a final point of certitude from which any future change was highly unlikely.

Galileo faced the Inquisition for daring to doubt the finality of received "wisdom" at that time.

Today, there are kids so arrogant they refer to those dubious about man-caused global warming as being in "denial," with the implication that all is known and they are merely intellectual rebels.

But Clownsicker has never read a history of science, or math, or genetics, and he wouldn't know any of this.

Instead, he trusts Al Gore, a "C" student who dropped out of law school with failing grades.

Is anyone else as stunned as I am to learn that johnforbes considers Al Gore to be a scientist?

I'm flabbergasted.
I knew johnforbes was stupid, but even I didn't believe he was that stupid.
As for myself, I never give Al Gore thought unless johnny or RealTool brings him up.
Why would anyone with any sense give a rat's ass about what Al Gore thinks?

As to the rest of johnny's ignorance, I'll have to get to that when I can find the time.

Finally a liberal who admits Al Gore doesn't know what he's talking about...now if only we could get our public schools to stop using Gore's science fiction film in their science classes.

Al Gore once profoundly declared," global warming is the greatest challenge we face today." Where upon he was immediately awarded the Nobel Prize.

Gore also said that by right now, the polar ice cap would be gone, melted by man caused global warming. He then accepted the adulation of his sycophants, (knowing the sheeple never question anything) stepped into his private jet and burned 5000 lbs. of JP IV taking off to his next fund raiser and award ceremony.

DiCaprio, who owns five luxury houses and recently rented one of the world's largest yachts, burns more fuel per year than entire towns of American citizens.

For Clowntoker and others to seek shade under the vast belly of obese Al Gore, well, that's absurd.

DiCaprio flew to the UN climate meeting on his private 64 passenger jet, took a stretch limo to his 4,000 square foot luxury suite to have his assistant dress him to speak as Obama's guest before the UN representatives, where he told the elite audience (most of which flew in on private jets) that people are destroying the planet with their energy consumption and must be punished to stop their wasteful practices...liberals got goose bumps up their legs as they listened to his words of wisdom and divine guidance.

Global warming is a religion folks led by religious fanatics who are the biggest threat to America's way of life. When DiCaprio can give the speech he did with a straight face and not be booed off stage..."Houston we have a problem."
