First the residence of our cities who haven't been given citizenship should be given citizenship "after" they identify themselves and submit to a background check to insure they haven't been convicted of any violent felonies while they were residence here. If they were convicted of felonies seriously injuring someone they shouldn't be allowed to apply for citizenship until an appropriate amount of time with no new criminal convictions, say 5 years. We then stop those at our borders trying to get in without the proper paper work allowing them in. The process of allowing them in should be fast tracked so they aren't tempted to jump the process out of frustration like they are now. If we do those few things we no longer have residence who are undocumented and treated like second class citizens, they can get their own SSN's and start paying taxes, a win, win situation for everyone. I believe this is the Oct surprise Bob Beckel has been teasing everyone with that's going to result in an out pouring of support for Obama and the Democrats right before the elections in Nov. There will be celebrations in the streets if that's what Obama has planned, this country needs some good news and for Obama to be bold.
