There were riots around the country when MLK was assassinated in 1968. One of the biggest riot was in Chicago. A lot of businesses were looted and burned......they were torn down and they remain empty lots to this day.

It take a lot of money to start a business and a lot of hard work to make it a success....but more importantly support from the community they serve.
