Well, I know nothing about any "war on drugs" -- a label which is juvenile rhetoric anyhow.

I never smoked, don't drink, never did drugs, and it would be better for our society if more people didn't destroy themselves with tobacco, booze, and drugs.

If you invest, you have many "foes" anyhow. The economy, what stocks or funds or ETFs to buy, whether or when to sell some or all (my preference is never sell), and so on.

The real investing winner dollar-cost averages in over decades and lets the passage of time make him look smart. Buffett-esque brilliance is very, very, very rare. But decades of relentless investing, fomented by lack of bad habits like smoking, can make even an ordinary investor look good in the long run.
