Russia is invading Ukraine right before the world's eyes. With Russian rebel fighters close to being defeated, hundreds of trucks and tanks are heading from Russia towards Ukraine, along the route more military vehicles and helicopters have joined the convoy amounting to a small Army moving unmolested, John Kerry expressed his growing concern the convoy may not be about providing food to the people of Ukraine as Putin is saying.
Putin said his country was working with the International Committee of the Red Cross to deliver aid to civilians suffering as a result of savage fighting there. Except the Red Cross says it doesn't know what Putin is talking about. Spokesman Andrew Loersch said the agency doesn't have any agreement with Russia on such a convoy. The convoy, which departed from an army base near Moscow on Tuesday, appeared to vanish yesterday, adding to confusion surrounding the route and purpose of the cargo. Last seen in the city of Voronezh, 300 miles south of Moscow, on Tuesday, the convoy never reached the border near the Russian city of Belgorod that the Russian foreign ministry said it would use. Rumours that the convoy had headed south from Voronezh to cross the border directly into rebel-held territory. Moscow denies it is seeking to boost the insurgents, but NATO says it has massed 20,000 troops along the border ahead of the convoy..
