Benghazi, IRS, VA, Syria, Iraq, Obamacare failure, it was all overwhelming Democrats' efforts to defend Obama's actions, Obama needed a new CRISIS to distract the American people until after the 2014 elections, well they gave it to us and it was planned out several months ago. The American people have been played like a fiddle, let the masses suffer if it helps the agenda, but what Obama has done to those illegal children and to our citizens is unforgivable.
The ongoing crush of children illegally entering the United States has sparked a major health crisis at hospitals along the nation's border, Ron Paul, a former Texas congressman and Republican presidential candidate, tells Newsmax TV.Pelosi acknowledged, this a was a crisis that should be exploited.
"Our hospitals have already been under siege by immigrants,'' Paul, an obstetrician, said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show.''
A massive influx of people — largely driven by Central Americans, many of them children — drawn here by the administrations lax immigration enforcement is overwhelming border officials and facilities.
A Wall Street Journal story about the White House reaction to the crisis is that it's a result of the administration’s executive actions to undermine immigration enforcement. The border crisis is of a piece with a broad unraveling of the president’s policy over the past year. Obama gave hope to children and their families that if they enter the country illegally they will be allowed to stay. The administration is waving the families and children into the United States, dispersing them around the country, and giving them a date — often quite distant because of a huge backlog — to appear in immigration court. Experience says only about a quarter of illegal immigrants released pending a court date will actually show up for the proceedings. Why would they? As Byron York of the Washington Examiner points out, once illegal immigrants are in the country, they fairly quickly become part of the broad category of people that the administration has exempted from interior enforcement.
The administration itself appears to be treating the surge as a crisis, assigning a point person -- FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate -- to coordinate the federal response. President Obama also plans to appeal to Congress on Monday for more funding to address the surge on the border.
But Pelosi, D-Calif., visiting the Texas-Mexico border on Saturday, suggested those crossing should be welcomed and not treated as a problem.
"This crisis that some call a crisis, we have to view as an opportunity," Pelosi said. "If you believe as we do that every child, every person has a spark of divinity in them, and is therefore worthy of respect -- what we saw in those rooms was [a] dazzling, sparkling, array of God's children, worthy of respect." “I wish I could take all those children home with me,” Pelosi told reporters.
