WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama, asked the U.S. Congress on Thursday to approve $500 million to train and equip Syrian rebels seeking to oust President Bashar al-Assad. The Syrian rebels fighting Assad are a disparate array of groups including the radical Islamic State of Iraq (ISIS) and the Levant, which seized parts of northern and western Iraq in an offensive this month; Nusra Front, which is affiliated to al Qaeda; and moderate, non-ideological factions such as the Supreme Military Command.ISIS is losing in Syria and is stalled in Iraq...in rushes Obama with support for ISIS.
President Bashar al-Assad has used his military to help Iraq troops fight back ISIS from taking of Bagdad and expressed amazement that Obama would want to provide ISIS with funding while pretending to support the Iraq's fight against them.
