Hagel said he can't say if Bergdahl left his post, Obama said it's unfair to Berghahl to accuse him of leaving his post, there hasn't been an investigation and that an investigation might take some time. Spokesperson for the White House and the State Department have come out and said there is no information Berghahl left his post and that he served with honor and distinction.

So lets look at the facts, within hours of Berghahl leaving his post, thousands of soldiers were scoring the area, interviewing everyone, the CIA and the NSA were monitoring all traffic, F16's were brought in, members of his platoon say they were interviewed for hours and all telling the same story, Berghahl deserted, he sent his personal property home the day before he deserted, he left a note denouncing America and his citizenship, they have intercepted calls that he was trying to contact the Taliban 2 hours after he deserted, it goes on and on.

For Obama and Hagel to pretend the Army hasn't already conducted an investigation into how he went missing is mind boggling. When someone finally does step forward with a copy of the investigation that was conducted 5 years ago concluding Berghahl deserted and helped the Taliban, we all know what Obama will say "the first I heard about the investigation was in the news today".

CBS News reports indicate the investigation is going to focus not on Bergdahl but on his unit ....accusing them of lacking discipline and not keeping track of their equipment, such as night vision glasses. and not guarding perimeters effectively thus allowing Bergdahl to leave undetected.


So the cover up begins.
It would not surprise me if the whole thing ends up with Obama in the Rose Garden awarding Bergdahl the Congressional Medal of Honor.

There you go again, grog....you forget that Obama signed a law that says all he has to do is INFORM Congress of what he wants to do in cases of prisoner exchange. If anyone was going to nix anything it would be on them not Obama. So why didn't he do it? Obama lied when he said the facts are unknown and first the Army must do an investigation. You are a very naïve clown if you don't think the military has already thoroughly investigated Bergdahl's case. I'll take the word of the soldiers that were there on what happened over Susan Rice's version any day. They have publically spoken on the subject despite Hagel's attempts to silence them.

The White House has invoked executive privilege of the Army's original 3,200 page investigation into Bergdahl's desertion saying to release it would endanger future operations and soldiers. The White House will depend on a new investigation being conducted directly under Hagel's control with the assistance of Holder, that investigation will be made available to Congress once it's completed, no time line for completion was given but it's expected to take several months or even years. Probably soon after the Benghazi investigation is finally completed.

This will cause litigation, which will take longer to resolve than the remainder of Obama's tenure.

Rice lied about Bergdahl on Sunday TV, as she liked on Sunday talk shows (five of them) about Benghazi.

But the investigation material, while nice, isn't necessary in the face of the testimony of his fellow soldiers, who all said he deserted.

The military was told to make as many soldiers as possible sign agreements not to discuss what happened, and they did that to keep soldiers quiet, and they wanted that because of the lies Obama and Rice told about Bergdahl.

He was NOT a POW. He was a hostage because he went to talk to the Taliban.

I for one, don't care if Bergdahl never sets foot on American soil again. Having said that, it's interesting to note that Obama having made a big deal about getting Bergdahl back to his family suddenly appears to stop caring . Certainly he would have brought him to the US under the cover of "darkness", or maybe flown his parents to Germany. But No.....because Bergdahl has served his purpose and now has even become a liability. Reports now say there is no timetable as to when he will see his family or come to the US. He remains in Germany, allowed to roam the hospital...maybe Obama is hoping he will escape or become aggressive and get shot.
Whatever happens, good or bad...no longer matters to Obama.

The release of those 5 terrorists was the objective all along......mission accomplished.

And what about the 5 terrorists.....they are spending a year long vacation in Qatar, the Arab Disneyland , a condition of their release.
Qatar officials say they will keep an eye on the 5, but they are free to go where they please.
If the Qatar government is going to follow them around for a whole year....it going to cost money....and I don't think the Qatar government is going to do all that work out of the goodness of their hearts.
