It seems the criminal and corrupt Harry Reid and his equally criminal and corrupt son (who both previously got rich in a shady land swap deal) are in bed with a Chinese outfit that wants to build a huge solar array in the Nevada desert.....right where the rancher was grazing his cattle. The sacred desert tortoise everyone in the government was so worried about being harmed from cattle grazing didn't warrant so much as a yawn when the Chinese were interested in greasing Harry's palm.

The federal government backed down and ended their siege against Nevada cattle rancher Cliven Bundy less than 24 hours after an Infowars exposé connecting the land grab to Harry Reid and a Chinese-backed solar farm went viral, becoming the biggest news story on the Internet.Last night, we revealed how the feds were using the Bureau of Land Management to bully and intimidate ranchers like Bundy, pushing them off public land in order to pave the way for lucrative “green energy” projects backed by the Communist Chinese government and linked to Nevada Senator Harry Reid.

The story went viral, taking the number one spot on the Viral News Chart website and becoming the most trafficked story on the web thanks to syndication by news powerhouse the Drudge Report.

This morning, the Sheriff of Clark County, Nevada, Douglas Gillespie, announced to thousands of Bundy supporters gathered in Bunkerville that a deal had been brokered with Cliven Bundy that would see the BLM cease its roundup of the rancher’s cattle.

A press release has already been put forth that the BLM is going to cease this operation,” stated Gillespie, to a huge roar from the crowd of Bundy supporters.

Further reports established that, “the BLM wants to proceed with the sale of the cattle already gathered during the roundup but is reportedly willing to share the revenue from the sale with Bundy.”

This represents a huge victory in the fight against big government and the federal agenda to seize public land in the name of pursuing notoriously corrupt and wasteful “green energy” projects.

It serves to remind us of the power of media spotlight and grass roots activism in affecting real change.

The victory also illustrates the increasing irrelevance and declining influence of mainstream media. The national corporate media was forced to reluctantly carry this story only in the last couple of days, before which it had already generated a firestorm of interest solely as a result of grass roots media like Infowars.com, Drudge and other burgeoning independent news outlets.

If this operation was a test on behalf of the feds of where Americans draw their line in the sand, then the outcome spells disaster for big government, which has been handed a huge defeat in the battle to restore constitutional freedoms and property rights in the face of out of control tyranny.

(Reuters) - U.S. Senator Harry Reid is drawing fire for connections between his official duties and the lobbying activities of his son Rory Reid, for a Chinese company named ENN. ENN is headed by Chinese energy tycoon Wang Yusuo, who made a fortune estimated by Forbes at $2.2 billion distributing natural gas in China. Wang escorted Senator Reid and a delegation of nine other U.S. senators on a tour of the company's clean energy operations in Langfang, and Reid featured Wang as a speaker at his 4th annual National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas last year.

Two months after Harry Reid's China trip, Lionel Sawyer registered ENN Mohave Energy LLC as an American subsidiary of the Chinese company. To advance the Nevada project, ENN retained the state's largest and most prestigious law firm - Lionel Sawyer & Collins, where Senator Reid's son Rory Reid works as a lobbyist. Rory Reid was made the lead attorney on the ENN project and is also a major investor who stands to make millions.

Rory Reid acknowledged representing ENN at both the county and state levels since January. He declined to discuss his investments in the project.

U.S. Senator Harry Reid recognized nine years ago that connections between his official duties and the lobbying activities of his relatives could lead to ethical questions. Reid has been one of the ENN project's most prominent advocates but denies ever discussing it with his son Rory Reid or "pulling any strings to make it happen." His son also denied ever discussing the project with is father.

"I have never discussed the project with my father or his staff," said Rory Reid. Kristen Orthman, a spokeswoman for the senator, said he had not discussed the project with his son.

In December 2013, Clark County commissioners voted unanimously to sell up to 9,000 acres of public land to the subsidiary at pennies on the dollar. The deal spurred local controversy, separate appraisals valued the land at $29.6 million and $38.6 million. The commission agreed to sell it to ENN for only $4.5 million. The deal also allows ENN to map out the 9,000 acres best suited for their needs. ENN survey crews have been seen recently on the land a rancher named Cliven Bundy grazes his cattle on. Cliven Bundy is an outspoken rancher who says he will fight if anyone attempts to remove his cattle from the land his family has ranched for over 100 years.

Senator Reid recently used an online discussion related to his annual energy summit for an as-yet unsuccessful effort to pressure Nevada's largest power company, NV Energy, to sign up as ENN's first customer.

In the July 30 discussion, Reid said the project "would start tomorrow if NV Energy would purchase the power." The utility controls "95 percent of all of the electricity that is produced in Nevada and they should go along with this." Reid's online comments were first reported by the Las Vegas Review Journal. The power company responded by saying it had exceeded its minimum renewable energy requirements both last year and this year and did not need a contract for more.

In 2007, after a controversy over the number of lawmaker relatives engaged in lobbying, Congress passed the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act, sharply restricting the lobbying activities of close relatives of members of Congress.

A loop hole in the law only applies to "registered" lobbyists and Rory Reid is not registered as a federal lobbyist in Washington or a state lobbyist in Nevada, according to records in both jurisdictions.
