Where have we gone wrong!!!!!!!
It's our public schools and in many cases the parents also. Our public schools primary mission is indoctrination and support the teacher's unions by milking the tax payers for them, there is very little education going on and every years there is less.

Every one of those students could tell you who was on some dance contest show on TV.

This is the age of cell phone addiction, and kids today -- generally -- do not listen to TV news or read a newspaper.

Also, there's no draft, so they can ignore foreign events and live in some detached world of fantasy in which Realpolitik does not exist.

Are we talking about kids or Obama?

College age voters overwhelmingly voted for Obama in both elections.
Obama’s youth support may have been an even more important factor in his victory this year than it was in 2008. ... these voters were as likely to identify as Democrats in the 2012 exit poll as they had been in 2008. And they are the only age group in which a majority said that the government should do more to solve problems.
In the NSF study, the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago asked:

Now, does the Earth go around the Sun, or does the Sun go around the Earth?

How long does it take for the Earth to go around the Sun: one day, one month, or one year?

More disturbingly, in 2012 a majority of Democrats (51 percent) could not correctly answer both that the Earth goes around the Sun and that this takes a year.

And another recent study by the same group shows that Democrats are more likely to read horoscopes, and believe astrology is scientific.

The national embarrassment is only going to get worse.

"We're going to win this election!" Obama exclaimed amid cheers from the crowd.

"This is our moment, this is our time," Obama said as Kennedy looked on. "If you will stand with me I guarantee we will not just win this election, we will transform this country. We will transform the world!"

That was at an overflowing arena at American University.

No problem there Clown. The athletes at Northwestern University have just shown the country how dumb college students can really be. They want to be employees and pay taxes on their scholarships. A scholarship can be upwards of $75,000.....can't wait to see their faces when the IRS comes calling. What surprises me is that Harry Reid went on record saying he is all for it. He has a kid that is on the soccer team in the University of Virginia, Well,....maybe it shouldn't be a surprise coming from a Democrat. I guess Obama can now claim the creation of some new jobs.

Harry Reid has 5 kids.

His 4 sons are lawyers and lobbyists. Yes, all of them.

His daughter is married to a lawyer who is -- guess what? -- a lobbyist.

So, as claims of corruption mount for Reid, who can be surprised?

I noticed Justme's comment and I was about to call him out on his comment. I found this on the Internet and I believe there's a bit of truth in Justme's comment.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics notes that the average salaries for all teachers in Maryland differ by the education level they teach. Middle school teachers made the highest average salaries in 2010, while high school teachers followed them and elementary school teacher earnings lagged behind both. Maryland middle school teachers earned an average salary of $65,440 per year, with a median of $59,810 and pay ranging up to more than $90,970 for the upper 10 percent. All high school teachers in Maryland, regardless of their educational attainment averaged $63,000, with a median salary of $59,810 and a top salary of more than $90,970 annually. Elementary teachers earned an average salary of $59,840, with a median of $58,140 and a top end range of more than $86,010.

Geez John how old and lost are you? Those kids who you think are "addicted" to a "cell" phone are graduating from college in debt and are facing a market of McJobs thanks to the Republicans and W. They are following Realpolitik. On their INTERNET phones. They are using those "phones" and social media for organizing protests and venting their frustrations at the raw deal they've been sold thanks to greedy, wealthy, corporate types like you. I don't think you have ever stopped to consider their point of view.

And thank God they are not dumb enough to be shipped off as meat shields for corporate "wars" or some war against Israel's enemy.

So I'm a "corporate" type? Now that's funny.

I grew up doing agricultural manual labor.

Ever spent a day in the sun breaking rocks with a 20-lb sledge to build a road? I have.

It was "meat shields" (what a dumb image) who made America into the best big country in the history of mankind in this vale of tears.

As to "McJobs," working in a burger joint in the heat and air-conditioning is easy compared to the jobs I grew up doing.

Kids today who sneer at "McJobs" are too soft to undertake a beginner job and move on to other things.

As to excessive tuition debt, I concur it is a disgrace how much faster than inflation it has risen.

Believe it or not John the majority of people still understand the merits of hard work.

So these kids are wrong to expect greater opportunity in the job market upon graduation? Considering they were told the debt that they incurred would guarantee them that opportunity?

And you call them soft?

That's why they voted for Obama. They swallowed his promises and he lied to them, and to all America.

Some of them are even smart enough to realize it by now, that's what has the Democrats worried, the young votes they are counting on may not be as motivated to vote as they were in the past two elections. After five years of listening to "inspiration" speeches by Obama that never materialize, it's starting to sink in that Obama's words have no meaning.
