The 6.7 percent "headline" figure is incredibly deceptive.

Even by DoL's U-6, unemployment is now 13.1 percent.

Just think of the huge market if we could only get those people working. I'm curious as to why the business community isn't pushing for full employment.

The US Chamber of Commerce has always pushed for amnesty for illegal immigrants to get more cheap labor.

But that is, of course, shortsighted because illegal aliens and their many kids place enormous burdens on school systems paid for by legal citizens.

The Chamber of Commerce viewpoint also shifts the burden for cops/prisons to legal citizens, and illegals impose enormous added burdens on cops and prisons.
