A 2007 prediction that summer in the North Pole could be “ice-free by 2013” that was cited by former Vice President Al Gore in his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech has proven to be off… by 920,000 square miles. In his Dec. 10, 2007 “Earth has a fever” speech, Gore referred to a prediction by U.S. climate scientist Wieslaw Maslowski that the Arctic’s ice could “completely disappear” by 2013 due to global warming caused by carbon emissions.

Satellite photos of the Arctic taken by NASA in August 2012 and August 2013 show a 60 percent increase in the polar ice sheet, more than half the size of Europe, despite “realistic” predictions by climate scientists six years ago that the North Pole would be completely melted by now.

Instead of shrinking, the NASA photographs clearly show that the Arctic ice sheet is much larger than it was at the same time last year. The thick layer of summer ice, which currently stretches from Canada to Russia, is preventing ships from using the North-West Passage.

However, you do point out a legitimate reality.

Science is performed by people, real humans. Not all humans will ever agree on anything. Some, such as your guy are motivated by their politics and their personal stake in the science. It would be totally irrational to ever expect ALL scientists to ever agree on every detail of every science. We are humans and we have politics, and we have positions. The power is in the objective nature of science and the ability to check for correct prediction of the theories. Thus, there is absolutely no scientific controversy about the basis predictions of current climate science. Only the politics and the usual very few who have lost in the science and are unwilling to concede their loss. Going on with pure ornery malice and obstinance, but unable to bring a valid scientific argument against the overwhelming statistics.

Anti-science people of very low intelligence and no honesty will look for such outlier people. No surprise in that.

Scientific explanations must be based on careful observations and the testing of hypotheses. It must be possible to disprove a hypothesis.(with discriminating evidence). A real scientist doesn't try and perform science they study it.
