The EPA’s leading expert on climate change deserves to go to prison for at least 30 months for lying.

John C. Beale, who pled guilty in September to bilking the government over a decade, will be sentenced in a Washington, D.C., federal court on Wednesday. In a newly filed sentencing memo, prosecutors said that his lies were a "crime of massive proportion" that were “offensive”.

Beale’s lawyer, while acknowledging his guilt, has asked for leniency and offered a psychological explanation for the climate expert’s bizarre tales.

Beale, who was paid to be an ecoscammer for the EPA, so he decided to lie about not doing the job that was a lie. Judge Ellen Huvelle, who sentenced Beale questioned Beale’s work for the government. These include helping to rewrite the Clean Air Act, heading up EPA delegations to United Nations conferences on climate change, and helping to negotiate agreements to reduce carbon emissions with China, India and other nations. Judge Huvelle felt the Government was partially to blame by allowing Beale's fabrication of grandiose narratives such as cow flatulence endangering the planet to go unquestioned.

The IG also pointed out that Beale’s retention bonuses pushed his pay above the legal limit. Agency officials including McCarthy were notified in 2010 but did nothing to fix the problem. Indeed, the agency was so lax in its oversight that Beale ostensibly retired in September 2011—complete with a farewell dinner cruise on the Potomac—only to continue pulling a paycheck for another 19 months. Ultimately, it was this phony retirement that brought him down when, in March 2012, now-EPA chief Gina McCarthy, formerly Beale’s direct boss, kept him on the payroll after the retirement party she herself had attended.

It was also presented by climate scientists as essentially meaningless, of extremely low statistical significance in a early version of a model that was understood to be clearly unreliable. A prototype model. It was also true that much of that cooling prediction was based on a trend in industrial gasses that have since had highly significant reduction in industrial emissions.

A few years ago I was channel surfing and came across an episode of NOVA, the PBS pseudo (this used to be another of Dildo's favorite words) scientific program, originally aired sometime back in the early '70s (I have mentioned this program here before). It was narrated by Leonard Nimoy (Mr. Spock from the Star Trec series). He informed the viewers in the most dire terms imaginable that, unless we did something RIGHT NOW, the North American continent as far south as Phoenix would (by now, according to their time line) be covered by an ice shelf 11 feet thick. How they arrived at such an odd number as 11 feet was not revealed.

This was the conventional wisdom among the pointed headed pseudo (there's Dildo's word again!) intellectuals (who depend on generating fear and hysteria to justify their research grants) at the time and Dildo, from his home in Bumfuckistan, was not privy to propaganda TV programs from the United States, nor was he born yet. Dildo thinks that anything that happened before he was born does not count.

The predicted ice age did not materialize and the hysteria over man caused global warming is being further de-bunked on a daily basis.
