Well, let's see.

Massachusetts Governor Mitt Willard Romney personally asked for it to be added to the Massachusetts health care law.

Massachusetts Governor Mitt Willard Romney got the idea from Newt Gingrich.

Newt Gingrich got the idea from the Heritage Foundation proposal for a federal health care system.

President Elect Barach Obama was against the individual mandate.

His opponent in the Democratic primaries, Hilary Clinton was for the individual mandate.

Republicans and Conservatives were for the individual mandate.

Just a little history.

It hardly matters where the idea came from at this point.

The problem with Obamacare, which affects the entire country, is the individual mandate which is, as Roberts knew very well, unconstitutional because it is not -- and never was -- a tax.
