When I see a place advertised as "green" I avoid it because it's clearly run by idiots or someone scamming for tax credits and over priced services; they certainly aren't offering me for my money.
I recently had some remodeling done and this one contractor giving me a quote started the conversation that his was a "total green" company from everything they do including the products they use...I knew what was coming, a ridiculously high estimate using inferior over priced materials. I showed him to the door and told him, had he told me over the phone he was playing the green crowd, I would have saved both of us the time by telling him I'm not interested. He actually told me could a do a "non green" job much cheaper and offered me a new estimated I told him he had already wasted too much of my time....goodbye.
