Here’s a way to turn this into a “win-win” for the GOP. Republicans will in fact end the government shutdown, pass the budget, and fund ObamaCare if this one single simple demand is met:

REMOVE ALL EXEMPTIONS AND WAIVERS TO OBAMACARE.

It’s that simple. The message is: If ObamaCare is so good for the people, then let everyone have it. There is a reason Obama has exempted over 20 million from Obamacare, let everyone, or no one, enjoy this maggot-infested Bill.

Right now. This instant.

The poor, the rich, the big unions, the big corporations, the politically connected, the lawyers, the lobbyists, and of course, Congress, too. Everyone means everyone.

“Everyone” must specifically include Senators, Congressmen, their staffs, SCOTUS justices, Obama himself, Michelle, Sasha and Malia. It’s everyone in the rowboat, or no one.

That's the only GOP demand. Forget defunding -- it's not going to happen. Fund it, but only if Obama agrees to end all exemptions,...

If the House Republicans were to make that the only condition it would expose the liberal elite who will continue to shut down the Government rather than being subjected to Obamacare themselves.

One of Obama's selling points of Obamacare is that no one with a a pre-existing illness will be turned down for health insurance. Well, that is not new. Insurance companies have always being willing to insure you if you can pay their premiums! Only difference now is that for insurance companies it will be like shooting fish in a barrel.

I posted on another thread about how companies are pulling out of some states. My neighbor told me that Aetna is canceling her Medigap HMO insuance and offering almost the same exact coverage, under a different name, for several times the cost of her original plan.

I sent my recommendations to several GOP members, hopefully one of them realize this is the sure way to kill Obamacare. If the liberal elite are forced to be subjected to Obamacare it will go away. If the House says their only demand is that all exclusions and exemptions be removed the Democrats would have a hard time telling citizens that they would rather continue shutting down the Country than being allowed special exemption status to what they are subjecting everyone else to.

HHS has given 1200 waivers of Obamacare, mostly to unions who supported Obamacare as long as they didn't have to be subject to it themselves.

The Affordable Care Act requires insurers to phase out by 2014 the annual limits. The rule posed a challenge, however, to employers with "mini-med" plans, which charge extremely low premiums but offer truncated benefits and low annual caps. To keep workers from losing coverage altogether while their employers searched for an alternative, HHS granted waivers that let hundreds of mini-med plans keep lower caps in place until 2014.

In short, the rule enabled employers and their workers to keep until next year the plans they had before the law was passed, even though they didn't meet the new minimum standards. The move may have saved some employers and unions money, but it also kept workers from losing their coverage abruptly.

Oh yes we do, every single one of them are either for political favor or to take care of the elite. Obamacare is a law that over rides any union contract or prior agreement, otherwise everyone can say they should be given a waiver of the LAW.

The fact that all these waivers are allowed because of anticipated hardships....is proof positive that the AHCA was not only ill conceived but unpopular from the very start. Obama wanted this law passed quickly while the Demos had control of both Houses and he didn't allow time to debate the pros and cons This is but one of the many reasons that there is so much resistance to this law.
The worst part of Obamacare is the penalty.....I do not believe that an American citizen should have to pay a fine to the government just because he can not afford to buy health insurance. With this law Obama has made it a crime to be poor.

Senator Reid said it himself, that unless Congressional staffers were granted waivers from Obamacare, there would be what he called a "brain drain" because they wouldn't be able to attract and retain the quality of people they need. Then he turns around and explains but Obamacare is good for everyone else.

Wow, staffers would expect to retain their current health insurance plan, just like everyone else who is already insured by their employer or union. Just like members of Congress. Just like other federal employees. Just like every other large business employee. Just like all of the other 85% of people who are already covered by health insurance plans. Just as the Republicans and Conservatives and the Heritage Foundation planned when they developed the model for the ACA. Just as Republican Governor Romney implemented health care in Massachusetts.

If you want to propose and drive an effort for genuine equality of all health care insurance offerings and enrollments I will join you.

All businesses will document to the government all costs of all benefits/perks to all employees, managers,and executives.

Those individual costs will be transferred into salary raises for each employee and all benefit plans/perks will be terminated removing permanently all benefit costs and economic disadvantages for all businesses forever.

Everyone will purchase all their benefits from government, national or state, sponsored and regulated market exchanges of private sector insurers. Multiple standard policies will be available to each individual/family. Companies shall compete openly with full disclosure.

The federal government shall publicly publish quarterly performance reviews and financials of each division of each insurer.


However, note that this was not a plan that could have passed because of Conservative and Republican politics

When costs to employees rise, and Obamacare will indeed raise costs to unaffordable levels, that doesn't automatically translate into anything but more costs to employees.

Someone in the House republicans must have read this, they are now demanding "REMOVE ALL EXEMPTIONS AND WAIVERS TO OBAMACARE." They are extending the debt limit by six weeks to give Obama time to make that happen.
