Republicans say the GOP-controlled House intends to pass legislation to reopen portions of the government, including national parks and the Department of Veterans Affairs. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz said it's beyond comprehension that Obama would deem processing Obamacare applicants an essential service with 100% staffing while shutting down services to Veterans and preventing citizens from visiting parks they pay for.
