Gingrich blamed the problem on Republican culture that rewards obstruction and negativity instead of innovation and "being positive."

"We are caught up right now in a culture, and you see it every single day, where as long as we are negative and as long as we are vicious and as long as we can tear down our opponent, we don't have to learn anything," Gingrich said, acknowledging the "totally candid" nature of his remarks. "We have to do the homework."

Obamacare was rammed through in the dead of night.

Nobody read the bill, and only now is everybody -- including unions -- recognized what a disaster it is.

You don't need to replace a bad idea with something new in order to admit it is a bad idea.

America could -- and should -- just have repaired the few dents in its health care system and left intact the status quo, which was so good people came from all over the world to use it.

Not perfect, but far better than the bloated, federalized mess of Obamacare.

Why fix something that wasn't broke? It certainly is now though!

One might say, with equal force, that Democrats have no ideas other than to raise taxes and have the federal govt control every aspect of life.

That's a bad idea, and history has shown that time and time again.

It is one thing for liberals to prance about, giddy about winning the pivotal 2012 election which may well have sealed the loss of American greatness.

But ideas are eternal. Democrats have them, and so do Republicans.
