Feds to investigate potential racism at school's 'Redneck Day' eventCan you imagine the out cry had the school sponsored a "dress like a black" day event? Everyone involved in making front of whites by putting on the redneck event should be fired. Two of the teachers involved are black and the race of the other teacher hasn't been released.
The U.S. Department of Education will be investigating an Arizona high school, trying to determine whether they created a "racially hostile environment" during their school-wide "Redneck Day." On the day in question, students at Queen Creek High School were encouraged to wear a "Duck Dynasty"-inspired wardrobe, which one student took to mean "Go to class draped in a Confederate flag." The event was supposed be a fun way to increase school spirit in the days before the prom; instead, it left several students and parents hurt and angry. However, there was no ill intent, said Superintendent Ted Lindsay said. "We apologize to any people who because of the word [redneck] were offended."
