You clueless reactionary clowns have to understand the context of words.
You know, the way johnforbes is always saying the Left needs to do?

When Obama said "Detroit" in that clip, he was referring to the auto manufacturing companies, not the municipality, you moron.

If Romney were in charge, at least an adult with a better education would be in charge.

In that event, somebody who appreciated that America became great because of high freedom, low taxes, and capitalism would be in charge.

As it is, America's greatness is a fast-fading memory.

Almost 50 million on food stamps. Real U-6 unemployment is over 14 percent. And race-baiting is the order of the day.

First Romney wanted the auto makers to do bankrupt, then he claimed everybody "misinterpreted" the OP-ED piece in the NYT.

Conservatives now are claiming that the nation is going into the toilet even though people are banging down the doors to get in.

So what if the nation is no longer cracker land and now it happens to be a plurality. Honestly, if you don't like it...just go fuck your self....

"Conservatives now are claiming that the nation is going into the toilet even though people are banging down the doors to get in."

They're banging down the doors because they want to ransack the place". And Obama is going to let them. And you morons with stars in your eyes and your thumbs up your asses are still defending him !

Wrong! Obama: "More than a million jobs across the country were on the line - and not just auto jobs, but the jobs of teachers, small business owners, and everyone in Detroit communities. I refused to throw in the towel and do nothing. I refused to let Detroit go bankrupt and three years later, that bet is paying off in a big way for Detroit"

Now don't you feel silly! :D

^^^^^How is anyone supposed to explain anything to an idiot this dense?

Your quotation only supports my position, moron.
No money was ever lent to the City of Detroit as a bail out.
And once again, the word "Detroit" in your last quotation means "the auto manufacturers".

Now don't you feel silly?
Of course not. You're too stupid to be embarrassed by your own stupidity.

Obama's 2011 speech described a Detroit that can only be described as a myth wrapped in a wish inside a dream. "This is a city that's been to heck and back," Obama said. "And while there are still a lot of challenges here, I promise I will get this city back on track." Obama referenced "tough choices" made to bail out GM and Fiat-Chrysler and also hailed the birth of a new wave of high-tech employment. "We said American workers could manufacture the best products in the world. So we invested in high-tech manufacturing and we invested in clean energy," he said. "And right now, there's an advanced-battery industry in Detroit taking root here that barely existed before. Yes it took money but rest assured that tax money was invested well. People ask if investing billions in Detroit is the wise thing to do, I tell them it's better than the city going bankrupt which is what would have happened if I hadn't stepped in to save this great city."
Words have meaning.

It's amazing how every plan, every program, everything Obama has done has failed. Heck, tax payers are still owed billions in the auto-bail out while the auto manufacturers that were bailed out are building factories and sending jobs to China....

If they didn't implement TARP, then we would be in a depression. That probably was one of the greatest government programs ever devised. Ford and GM have the best lineup of cars that I have ever seen. And they are sending jobs overseas because GM autos are in high demand.

BTW I've got the Capital One Finance TARP warrants that expire in 2018, and they have returned about 30% annual over the past three years in my account...

Elk- If they didn't implement TARP, then we would be in a depression.
Don't know what TARP has to do with the bailout of Detroit but since you say TARP saved us:
The Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) is a program of the United States government to purchase assets and equity from financial institutions to strengthen its financial sector that was signed into law by U.S. President George W. Bush on October 3, 2008. It was a component of the government's measures in 2008 to address the subprime mortgage crisis.
Now Elk is feeling silly and will have say he didn't mean what he wrote.
