The defense asked Rao if she was appointed to her position by Angela Corey, the prosecutor who decided to take up the case. She answered in the affirmative. The defense asked whether Rao did any work on Trayvon Martin’s medical records. She answered no. She said that the medical evidence was consistent with at least three impacts between Zimmerman’s head and concrete.

The defense asked Rao about the abrasions on Martin’s hands. She testified they were consistent with striking someone. She testified there were no other injuries on Martin other than the gunshot wound, and she said there were no injuries consistent with trauma that took place on cement on Martin's body.

On a four-page written statement, Zimmerman wrote, "My head felt like it was going to explode." He repeatedly referred to Martin as a "suspect," a term prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda highlighted in his questioning.

The ME's said the injuries were "insignificant" so how does Zimmerman justify the claim that his head was going to explode during the fight???

The wounds were superficial, were they not? In her own words "insignificant?"

Did Zimmerman have a fractured skull? A concussion? Bruising?

Anything consistent with a significant impact to verify Zimmerman's claim?

Maybe you missed that the law only requires that a person be afraid for their life, and legally he's met that requirement and so far nothing has disproved it.

Did you see the look on the judge and juries faces when the ME called the broken nose, black eyes and head lacerations "insignificant"? Her blatant attempts to help the prosecutor backfired. So far every witness the prosecutor has called has turned out to only help Zimmerman's defense.

What was priceless was when the defense got the prosecution's lead detective to admit he believed Zimmerman's version of events and believed he feared for his life when he shot Trayvon. Case over.

All Zim needed was to have a reasonable subjective belief that death/serious injury might occur sans some decisive step.
