Political discussions about everything

The President has put himself above the law and assumed powers far beyond those the Constitution measured to him.

We have a president who acts in shameless disregard of the Constitution’s restraints upon his office, and who feels himself above the law, and who constantly seeks to manipulate and mislead the public. How many times just in the last week have we witnessed this?

Last night I heard the President try and justify spying on American citizens' communications by claiming it was needed to protect American citizens. We can not accept that kind of trampling of our rights to privacy. Our President is drunk on power, there is no transparency or accountability under this Administration. Unemployment is at 9% and our debt is approaching $4 trillion, he claims there are conditions out of his control, that isn't leadership, he's been the President for several years now, he's the man at the top, the buck stops with him. I call on Congress and the citizens of the United States to rise up and confront this President and his Administration, I do so for the good of the Country. It's not enough to point fingers for failures or come up with excuses, he accepted the job as President, now he has to accept accountability and responsibility.
The Senator who made those remarks was Senator Barrack H. Obama.
