Attorneys for George Zimmerman apologized Sunday for mischaracterizing evidence they said boosted their theory that Trayvon Martin was the aggressor in his fatal meeting with their client last year. Lawyer Mark O’Mara said during a hearing last Tuesday that the defense had obtained video footage of three fights, including one in which he said two of Martin’s friends "were beating up a homeless guy."

But Zimmerman's defense team corrected that statement on Sunday, saying O'Mara had unintentionally "misstated the nature" of the footage. In a statement posted on Zimmerman’s website, the defense lawyers said the footage actually showed "two homeless guys fighting each other over a bike."

A Florida judged ruled Tuesday that Zimmerman’s lawyers cannot mention Martin’s suspension from school, prior marijuana use, text message exchanges or past fighting in opening statements when the trial begins on June 10.

The judge only ruled that the evidence of Treyvon's previous illegal and violent behavior could not be mentioned during opening statements. The judge could allow it in as part of the defense or the prosecution could enter evidence that would be contradicted by Treyvon's texts and videos. The fact that these texts and videos exists and that the defense has them limits in some ways what evidence the prosecution can present. If they try to make Treyvon into some kind of saint who would never attack anyone I would think the judge would have to allow the multiple texts about fighting into evidence.

We don't know what happened. Martin says he was attacked and was defending himself and from what we know about Treyvon's past actions ( from his own texts and videos ) would lend credibility to those claims. There are pictures of Martins bloody scalp that also bolster his claims. If both parties where of the same race would these charges have ever been brought?

Bingo! Plus the fact the autopsy disclosed he was high on drugs when he attacked Zimmerman.

Zimmerman is a working class legal Hispanic who did volunteer work for his community by watching out for neighbors. He was legally armed and the laws in Florida allowed him to use deadly force to stand his ground.

Zimmerman stands for everything liberals hate, a "legal" Hispanic who holds down a job and believes in the right to gun ownership. He was attacked by a unemployed black thug high on drugs, the liberals' dream child voter, therefore they are throwing everything they have at Zimmerman including crooked politicians.

Most of them still are. Plus they displayed photo shopped photos of Zimmerman with no blood on his head or face and even edited his 911 call. The liberal media prefers a drugged unemployed black thug (100% Democrat voter) over a legal working Hispanic trying to help out his neighborhood (60% Democrat voter).
