I am new to the realm of erotic play and am finding it difficult to know where to look for like minded people. I have tried craigslist and hav found that to be of no use...online hookup sites seem to be as bad. I live in Seattle and am really interested in finding people who want to get together and hang out and fool around if the feeling strikes. There are no swinger bars here (that I know of) and the swing retreats are pretty much geared for couples and women. Where do I turn? Any help is appreciated.

The best place to look is within your current circle of friends. Try to hang out with married couples in their 40s and older. These people usually have more flexibility and less drama. There are lots of hot women in their 40's married to guys with big beer guts who would love to get it on with a guy in good physical shape, assuming you are also not walking around with a beer gut. So, take a good look at your circle of friends and consider which couples tend to to be the most approachable and flirtatious and start hanging out with them and see where things go. In all reality though, it sounds like you are seeking something a little less sleezy and meaningful if you did not like CL and that is the hardest situation to find because it takes a lot of time, energy, and the right couple to make it work.

Though in no ways a guarantee, a hot tub in the back yard is a good sign. I have ended many a night in hot tubs of various friends with none of us wearing any suits and getting to see what many of my friends wifes look like naked. drinks and a late night hot tub dip if you can get an invite will get you at least into the ball park but no guarantee a spot in the game.

If you do not have couples like that in your current circle of friends, then you need more friends.

Hmmm. Over 3000 views and no other advice. Unfortunately, I have only been in Seattle a year and haven't forged those kinds of friendships yet. Anyone else have any ideas?

You may want to check out a very cool place called the Center for Sex Positive Culture. I was visiting Seattle with my former girlfriend and we had a fantastic time there.
