Obama backs giving federal workers pay raises while working people that are not part of the fed got pay cuts from Obama, not to mention that Obama has been working to cut benefits for non-fed workers... You didn't complain about that.

I really don't understand these petty little partisan gotcha threads..... Big deal. Who cares??

Republican =bad Democrat =good
Democrat = bad Republicans = good

Is that really where you morons are? If so then you idiots are part of the problem.

Talk about "biting the hand that feeds him."

Leroy, government programs are there to help people like you who could never get, much less maintain a job on your own merits. Your self-loathing is wholly deserved and completely understandable, but you really need to stop it.

Good luck!

That's why people like you, Liberals, don't understand the reality of economics or responsibility. I've been self-employed for more than a decade, never taking a single gov handout, not taking gov contracts, and working entirely on my own merit - I understand freedom, responsibility, economics, and taking care of others.

I've also been gainfully employed since I graduated from college, but I do pay taxes, and expect to receive the government benefits for the programs that I am paying for when I retire.............

And there is a very real and good chance that the Government programs you've paid into will not be there when you're ready to retire, because the people in charge are working very hard to bankrupt those programs to bring about sweeping and dramatic social change through economic change - they have failed ideals and don't see it, like most liberals.

That happened more than 30 years ago. Government actuaries predicted decades ago that there would be funding issues but the politicians never raised taxes to put entitlement programs on more fiscally sound footing. But now we are paying the price for decades of neglect. I would rather pay a little more now so the programs can be saved for the future. Rather than cut taxes and put these programs into jeopardy.

Republicans were belly aching about the tax cuts for the rich, but did they ever discuss the 2% increase in payroll taxes???

According to the Democrats and Obama, there was no tax INCREASE, it was just putting things back like they should have been, and lets not forget, Obama and his minions are proposing the removal of tax deductions that will dramatically increase taxes paid by the working class - but I don't see you complaining about that.

So, again, we're back to the common downfall of every society - when the number of people getting benefits is greater than the number of people providing benefits (and the getting group includes all people paid with tax money).
