So, democrat legislators in Wisconsin have submitted legislation that would ban civilian possession of Hollow Point or Frangible ammunition, completely, without exception, and make it a Felony to posses such ammunition.
Interestingly enough, the proposed legislation doesn't exclude police or other law enforcement types from it, which means that cops will also be guilty if found possessing such ammunition.
These law makers, based on their statements, have no clue about guns or ammunition - we can see this from one of their emails where they attempt to justify their restriction (getting the details COMPLETELY WRONG):
" In their e-mail circulating the draft to fellow legislators, the quartet claimed that the military uses hollow point ammunition. “While used by the military for decades – in part because they inflict massive wounds – hollowpoint bullets have little, if any, practical use for self-defense or hunting in everyday society. Tragically, they are essentially human-killing bullets.”"
They also don't appear to know anything about guns or ammo because the don't understand that using HP ammo is safer for everyone, as HP ammo doesn't penetrate as much as FMJ ammo does, making HP ammo safer for home defense, personal defense, and even hunting, because it decreases pass-through vs. FMJ ammo types.
This is the second state that has attempted to violate the rights of law-abiding citizens....
