So, the Democrats refused, again, as we've seen across the country, a law that would provide equality for Women in our country, choosing to side with the Anti-Constitutional Sharia system, showing that Democrats don't really care about Equality for Women - just like Obama has shown in his Administration.

The Florida House Civil Justice Subcommittee has passed HB 351, formally titled "Application of Foreign Law in Certain Cases" but more popularly referred to as an "Anti-Sharia Bill." The bill is modeled after legislation proposed by activist groups who claim Islamic law, which discriminates against women and non-Muslims, is stealthily encroaching upon the American judicial system.

The bill prohibits the enforcement by Florida courts of contracts, mediation agreements, or other voluntary settlements if those agreements are based "on any foreign law, legal code, or system that does not grant the parties affected by the ruling or decision the same fundamental liberties, rights, and privileges guaranteed by the state Constitution or the United States Constitution."

Anti-Sharia laws are irrelevant because US courts are beholden to US laws and the US constitution.

Those kind of laws are pretty much antithetical to US jurisprudence on many levels.

Elk, you can claim they are "irrelevant", but the fact is that judges are actually deciding against defendants and using sharia as the single basis to side against the defendant - they are also siding with the criminal actions and giving reduced sentences to those found guilty if they can do so and take sharia into account.

Our system wasn't and isn't supposed to be based on a system that finds people to not be equal, that finds women to be property and to treat them as such. Sorry you side with that vile system.
