Abolish the IRS. Turn the agents into welfare inspectors and fraud investigators. Welfare fraud should have a manadatory prision sentence. Those on welfare should be required to do community service tasks if they're healthy enough to do it. You want a check, you help clean up the parks, pick up trash, paint buildings, etc. With all the people on welfare in our inner cities just imagine how clean the cities would be.

Impose a flat sales tax of 12% on everything except food and medical costs. No class warfare, no secret loop holes. Under this system everyone pays the same. If you spend a $1 , you pay $.12. If you spend $10, you pay $1.20 and if you spend $100, you pay $12.00. So, the more you spend, the more you pay. Food and medical costs should be the only thing exempt from the sales tax.

Furthermore a National Sales sales tax, gets everyone to pay something. Illegals, welfare, Tourists, people on VISA's. Its a win - win.

If we took those simple measures our debt would be gone within a year and we would actually have more money to spend on items that need it while our cities would be clean and inviting.
