This is how socialism starts, there are the peon's then there are the ELITE who are given special powers. So now if you take a picture of one of the elites in a public place in Hawaii the ELITE can sue you and the police will take your camera.
HONOLULU (AP) — More than two-thirds of Hawaii's state senators have signed onto a bill to protect celebrities giving them power to sue over unwanted photos and other snapshots on the islands.
Maui Democrat Sen. Kalani English says the so-called "Steven Tyler Act" will help Hawaii's tourism and film industries and allow celebrities to enjoy Hawaii without their privacy being distrubed by someone taking a photo of them.
The bill would open people up to civil lawsuits if they invade privacy by taking photos or videos of celebraties any where in Hawaii.
Longtime Hawaii media lawyer Jeff Portnoy says the legislation panders to the elite. He pointed out now if a celebratie walks out on a public beach or even into a shopping area, tourists have to put their cameras away.
