Obama is the first President in history to not only ignore our Congress's role but also to feel his executive powers over rides the Constitution. Some have noticed and are taking action:

Texas Republican Rep. Steve Stockman threatened Monday afternoon that he would file articles of impeachment against President Barack Obama if he institutes gun control measures with an executive order.

“Any proposal to abuse executive power and infringe upon gun rights must be repelled with the stiffest legislative force possible,” he added. “Under no circumstances whatsoever may the government take any action that disarms any peaceable person — much less without due process through an executive declaration without a vote of Congress or a ruling of a court.”

“If the president is allowed to suspend constitutional rights on his own personal whims, our free republic has effectively ceased to exist,” he said.

Obama has said he will ignore the law on the budget and that he will take executive orders to make his agenda on gun controls and immigration to happen. He explained he is tired of Congress and an out dated Constitution standing in his way.

- He has brazenly undermined the power of Congress by insisting his authority came from the United Nations Security Council prior to the attack on Libya and that Congressional approval was not necessary. “I don’t even have to get to the Constitutional question,” said Obama. This is an act that “constitutes an impeachable high crime and misdemeanor under article II, section 4 of the Constitution,” according to Congressman Walter Jones.

- He has flagrantly violated article 1, section 9, clause 8 of the Constitution by accepting rotating status as chairman of the United Nations Security Council. The clause states, “No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States; and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall without consent of Congress accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.”

- He has ignored Congressional rejection of the cybersecurity bill and instead indicated he will pursue an unconstitutional executive order.

- He has signed into law the National Defense Authorization Act which includes provisions that permit the abduction and military detention without trial of U.S. citizens, violating Habeas Corpus. Despite Obama claiming he would not use the provisions to incarcerate U.S. citizens, it was his administration that specifically demanded these powers be included in the final NDAA bill.

- He has enacted universal health care mandates that force Americans to buy health insurance, a clear violation of the Constitution in exceeding congressional power to regulate interstate commerce. Obama has also handed out preferential waivers to corporations friendly to his administration.

- He has declared war on America’s coal industry by promising to bankrupt any company that attempts to build a new coal plant while using unconstitutional EPA regulations to strangle competition, ensuring Americans see their energy costs rise year after year.

- He has violated the Constitution’s Takings and Due Process Clauses when he bullied the secured creditors of automaker Chrysler into accepting 30 cents on the dollar while politically connected labor unions and preferential others received better deals.

- He has violated Article II of the Constitution by using signing statements as part of his executive usurpation of power.

I have always said the administration claims that they found 340 billion in fraud waste and abuse in the medicare program and that they should have never even thought about touching the American health care system until they fixed the current messes. Then I've said they should do it incrementally if at all, starting with allowing the insurance companies to operate as single units nation wide rather than state by state.

Were you even going to comment on my question about the applicability of Obama Care for military and civil service members and their families or were you just going to stump around in a deluded attack mode?

I do agree, as I mentioned in the old board and was then flamed by liberals - if Obama had actual knowledge of cuts that could help, why didn't he actually name them and enact those cuts instead of playing political games - he has never shown any substance in his life.

Shimmer, sorry, I really lost track of your question - I'll address it now.

Obamacare has a long list of exclusions - including excluding Muslims because of Religious reasons, but not Christians for the same reasons.

As for the DOD and Obamacare - as of Nov 2012, the DOD will be increasing the cost of Tricare (30% to 70% depending on the plan coverage) for the Military in an effort to control costs and comply with ObamaCare. Panetta appears to be working to increase costs for Military members such that they switch to Obamacare.

Personally, if Obamacare is something that we're going to be stuck with, there should be no exclusions, no exemptions, and all government, politicians, unions, welfare, etc... anyone that doesn't have an alternative plan that provides AT LEASE the same coverage, should be forced to enroll and use it. More importantly, since the Politicians (actually liberal groups) created it, and Obama and the majority of politicians voted for it, THEY should be the first users and mandated to not have ANY other coverage.

As of this time, there is no exception for Military members for Obamacare - Tricare currently qualifies as a Premium Coverage, like most personal insurance plans, so members are not forced, currently, to enroll in Obamacare.
