here's a few facts for you to chew on.
1. The Tea party members in Congress are all (with a few exceptions listed below) from states that were in the Confederacy. Twelve are from Texas, seven from Florida, Five from Louisiana, five from Georgia and three each from South Carolina, Tennesee, and the border state Missouri.
2. The four Californians in the Tea Party Caucus are from the inland part of the state or Orange County (political culture shaped by Oklahoman and southerners who migrated there during the Great depression.
3. Six in ten Tea Partyers say that global warming isn't a fact.
4. Six in ten TPs say that evolution is wrong.
5. TPs twice as likely to be against abortion in all circumstances.
6. over half of TPs are against gay marriage.
7. TPs, over half, want to abolish the Dept. of Education.
8. TPs worry more about the deficit than jobs.
9. TPs are against big government but oppose doing away with Medicare.
10 Forty percent of TPs on Social Security and say they have never used a government social program.
11. 50% of TP families receiving government backed student loans deny ever using a social government program.
