This could be worse than Islamophobia. The Idea of getting up early and working hard all day every day should be extremely frightening.

Then there is that Shar.. I mean Amish law Ordnung thingy.

we could learn a lot from these people and some of the more simple ways of living life. They grow most of their food, make most of their clothing, help their neighbors. They have thriving businesses that they employ family and freinds. They don't rely on handouts from the government. There are a lot of wholsome things with these people. We live with walls around our yards and never get to know our neighbors, and work to spend because we are never satisfied with what we have. We get in debt with credit cards and over-extend ourselves, always wanting more to the point of not being able to make ends meet. Both husband and wife have to work so the kids are raised by day care. Sometimes, the basics are a good thing. Maybe we should take some lessons about being satisfied with what we have. What a concept!
