The Republicans in the House have stopped Obama from kicking ass like DDE.

Meanwhile, Google shelters 10 $billion$ in Bermuda.

data from the past 50 years strongly refutes any arguments that cutting taxes for the richest Americans will improve the economic standing of the lower and middle classes or the nation as a whole. To be sure, the economic indicators examined in this report are dependent on a variety of factors, not just tax policy. However, what this study does show is that any attempt to stimulate economic growth by cutting taxes for the rich will do nothing -- it hasn't worked over the past 50 years, so why would it work in the future? To put it simply and bluntly, Bush's top-bracket tax cut is an ineffective attempt at stimulus that will not cause any growth -- unless, of course, if you're talking about the size of the deficit.

Still, the Laffer Curve is correct. It's just that the trickle down morons have no idea under what real circumstances it is meaningful, thus they simply do their usual and ignorantly lie to justify an intentionally incorrect policy to intentionally benefit their masters at the expense of the 98% of us..

Think of all the benefit to the American people that would occur if rathwer than spensing all that money to kill people and destroy property and technological capability we invested in new t4echnologies and making people's lives better.

Think of all the money the US would have if our elected officials would charge every country that wants our protection and use of our military and technology.

Rather than paying taxes, every legal citizen would get a check each year ! :)

Kind of like Alaskians. I agree it is about time Europe and others start receiving the bill for America's services. If they don't agree, fine we pack up, determine what we need to protect America and configure out resources to make it happen. If we really want to protect America we need to harden the target and set others free to protect themselves without our interference.

The biggest difference is unber DDE we were in a reconstruction age and America was still the home of industry.. Today we have very few factories our middle class has been beaten to hell.. Plus under DDE we were still under the Gold standard.. Which we aren't under anymore so Obama thinking he can just do what they did in the 50's isn't going to work..

The wealthy in this country have intentionally taken the U.S. into the path to being a third world country. To expect the cure to be giving the wealth class more power and more wealth is a sign of either stupidity or malice.

It seems that there are those in this country that are taking us to a two-class society; those who are super-rich and the much poorer class. I feel that once the two classes are truely a fact, the super rich will keep pecking away at the meager assets of the second-class citizens. Our fore-fathers remembered the inequities of Europe's landed elite when they wrote the Constitution.

That's what I've been trying to warn everyone of, socialism is the path Obama is taking us. The Government leaders will be the elite, all others will be there to serve their needs, those who don't bow to the Government leaders won't be thrown any scraps.

Socialism, socialism. The chant of the ignorant and corrupt who have no idea what socialism is or means, only what the corporatists have told them to fear. The fear filled chant of the stupid. Fear socialism.

Well, they have one moron, justupid.

Once again Justme-Read your post and see if it makes sense. The elite refers to the super-rich, landed, priveleged class.

BTW-Just because someone posts doesn't mean that you have to respond. You can let a post or two slip by.
