So the links indicate Obama intends to use 75% of the money he raises from increased taxes (only 20% of those taxes from top 2%) towards new spending and only 25% towards the debt. His overal budget for 2013 would be larger than 2012 but he's cutting the amount of increases he feels we should have so he calls those cuts?

Bottom line Obama is calling for more taxes for more spending and a larger budget for 2013. He's calling for Congressional oversite to end and no limits set on his future spending.

WOW, I don't understand why the GOP doesn't jump on that offer. :roll:

Congress allocates and determines spending as well as revenue. The President has only the bully pulpit and the veto. The debt ceiling is a redundancy. When Congress fails to approve the debt ceiling they fail to approve paying the bills that they were determined to accrue.

Spending, revenues, the debt, the deficit are all a partnership between Congress and the President. The President really has little power over the details. He can make suggestions. He can veto and send it back to Congress. But, only Congress can actually write the details into law, and then only the House can author a spending bill. All spending deficits have been authored by the House.

Those that believe that the deficit/debt can be reduced by following Obama's tax-the-rich dogma probably believe you can cure addiction to crack by increasing the availability of the drug...

The Federal government has an insatiable appetite for citizens wealth and the associated power, and that will not change by symbolic tax increase on 2% of the population. One that will generate enough money to run the government for a week or so.

Interestingly enough, since he rarely does anything but babble incoherent liberal/progressive hogwash, Howard Dean let the real plan see the light of day. Increases on taxes for everyone that remains stupid enough to work.
