I thought that this article gave an interesting perspective to what the next year and beyond will look like. We'll have to keep a watch.

"Israel will strike Iran in the first three months of 2013. Probably just after the inauguration in January. Netanyahu and Ehud Barak, though challenged internally and by the polls, seem kind of weirdly unstoppable (see David Remnick’s recent piece in The New Yorker, “The Vegetarian”). Israel will strike Iran unilaterally and the President, though he won’t want to, will not vociferously condemn the attack once it’s happened. And the Israeli strike will not only out Iran’s nuclear facilities, it will take out anything important connected to them, like roads, bridges, power stations and communications towers. The extent of the strike will actually freak people out; it’ll be much wider than most people currently predict. When Bibi goes in he’ll make it really count, for the next 20 years. With one shot at it he will hit Iran hard, and..."

Why would that be Obama's problem? Obama is giving his full time to fixing our economy and won't let conflicts between Israel and those they're attacking distract him. Obama will rightfully stay out of Israel's mess.

We're about to go over the cliff because the GOP is blocking Obama's budget plans and all the GOP can do is hound everyone in the Obama Administration about the attack in Libya, that's old news, time to move on to real issues, time to start working with Obama to move forward instead of trying to help their rich friends.

There are still many anti-Obama, anti-American obstructionists in Congress. There will be for a very long time. Politics and party before the American people. The hope and the current indication is that many Republicans are tired of being correctly viewed as wackos and lunes. That there will be enough reasonable, rational Republicans to change enough so that the people's business and welfare can be addressed. Hopefully, we do not need to actually go over the tint little cliff and then correct the problems by passing tax cuts for the middle class, but if Republicans want to continue to be obstinate, partisan, self destructive, and stupid then that solution is just fine.

Told you Obama wouldn't involve us in Israel's attacks, just be thankful Romney isn't in charge.
: AP: This moring White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Obama was concerned with this new escalation by Israel. "It would be a catastrophe if there is further escalation in the region. Israel has the right to security but it won't achieve it through violence. The Palestinians also have the right to a state. Isreal must cease the violence and return to the table for talks"

Obama is asking that Israelis lay down their weapons.

All that is necessary for peace is for the Palestinians to lay down their arms. All that is necessary for a holocaust is for the Israelis to lay down theirs.

I hope they don't listen to Obama.

How is Obama fucked? Oh, simply more delusion from the deluded one.

Obama may have a difficult time, but no matter what happens he is President for the next 4 years, then he is out of the game. A war, no matter how evil and stupid, strengthens a Presidents hand as long as the people support it.

A couple of facts about Obama:

1, Since the start of this country only 7 (Seven) Presidents have won reelection to a second consecutive term.

2. In the last 100 years only 4 (Four) Presidents have won a consecutive second term.

Maybe with these facts in mind we can show the President (This President and the ones in the future) the respect that the office deserves. I cringed when Romney wagged his finger at the President during the debate. THAT JUST ISN'T DONE. The President is the man our people and the people of many other countries look to for leadership and help. The President is our Commander-In-Chief and, as such, has the power to wipe out life on this planet. Any President takes this responsibility seriously and selects his words and actions carefully. The world's problems are not as simple to fix as many of us think they are.

I have no problem with disagreeing with the President's actions or policies. I only ask that you state your objections in a calm, reasonable, respectful manner. THEN, offer your solution to the issue that you feel the President is handling wrong.

Snakeoil,

That was once a positio0n that Republicans cherished. Thise were the real Republicans of not so long ago. The real conservatives who respected the office no matter what. No this crop of radical reactionary posers.
