Political discussions about everything

johnforbes always says he doesn't get daily talking points from his handlers, but it is a curious coincidence that the same topics just happen to come to johnny's mind as with the Republican handlers duping his party, isn't it...

If this is a criticism of Presidential "vacations" from johnforbes (who knows? Dimwit johnny can never discusses any of the topics he starts threads about. He has no thoughts, as his pleading for some always demonstrates.) then I am surprised to see him criticizing Trump in this way. Just a warning of what we can expect if Trump is re-elected, I suppose. If we are to use the Republican definition of "vacation" then Trump was "on vacation" just as much as Biden was. But hypocrite johnny never started a thread about Trump's myriad "vacations."

That hypocrisy is just par for the course for johnforbes when discussing Trump's hundreds of days golfing at public expense. This was after criticizing Obama's golfing, Trump spent 250% of Obama's count of golf outings.
"By the end of May, Trump had spent some 266 days of his first term at one of his golf clubs, outpacing former President Barack Obama, who had golfed 98 times by the same point in time during his time in office..."-Business Insider
"His [Trump's] own staff described his annual summer trips to his New Jersey golf club as a "working vacation."-Politifact

But anyway, if johnforbes' point (whoever knows what johnforbes' murky point ever is? He never tells us.) is that old people require too much "vacation" from their stressful jobs, then I agree. I'm impressed that johnforbes would give us yet another reason that people should not vote for Trump.

Mr Forbes has always supported Senile Joe for owning a beach house.

September is a special month by the ocean, and Mr Forbes himself -- tall and tan, taut and tawny -- has been enjoying the last days of summer in svelte and suave fashion.

And yes, it can be contended that Senile Joe was such as horrible president that even his own party couldn't choke down the prospect of him running again, so they turned to Kackling Kamala.

^^^^^^...and johnforbes STILL couldn't explain what the supposed point of his original post was. Is he FOR all of Trump's vacations? Or is he against them? And is he wisely trying to warn us against electing an old obese guy again?

One can only conclude that even HE doesn't know what the point was supposed to be. All he was looking for was another opportunity to prance and preen in his Speedo in front of a group of straight men while pretending not to be a flaming queen.

Why does johnny bother with such posts? He would have a lot more luck simply returning to the Castro District in San Francisco where he spent his youth; a place where they LOVE to see closet cases pretending to be straight.

Ike was criticized for spending so much time playing golf and going to his weekend place at Gettysburg.

Sure, a president can do business from any location.

Also, it could be contended that a president who delivered on two things -- enormous inflation, and 8 million new illegal aliens -- might be better off on vacation doing nothing more to impair the functioning of the country.

Then why bring it up, dummy? Oh yes, it's because your handlers told you to in their daily talking points, and like an obedient useful tool, you complied.

As you said, the problem isn't the number of "vacation" days since a President can do business anywhere. It's the relatively small expense to the public every time Biden travels the short distance home to Delaware or the huge expense to the public every time Trump flies Air Force 1 home to Florida and then charges America for the fees at his golf courses. Even the Bedminster club is twice as far to go as Biden's Delaware home.

Trump's "vacations" cost us all much more than Biden's did.

There are some bodacious bodice-rippers there, along with cutting edge fiction by James Michener like The Fires of Spring, one of 1949's better novels.

Come, fill the Cup, and in the fire of Spring
Your Winter-garment of Repentance fling;
The Bird of Time has but a little way
To flutter–and the Bird is on the Wing.
