Political discussions about everything

In December 2020, US Attorney General Bill Barr said there was “no evidence” of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election.

Barr had said that he asked for investigations on Nov 9th, but FOIA records now reveal no investigation was apparently ever conducted.

You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take, as the old basketball coach said.

By the same token, you never find anything if you talk about investigations but never do one.

johnny, don;t be stupid. LOTS of investigations were done. Dozens of Republicans kept doing investigations in various states and failed to come up with any evidence whatsoever of widespread fraud. Not one of them ever presented any evidence of fraud in any lawsuit before any judge. This is because there is none. They all simply made up their claims of fraud out of thin air.

Partisan Republicans even spent millions of dollars and several months thoroughly investigating the Arizona election count and came up with the same vote count and no evidence of fraud there either.

If the entire Republican apparatus of the country, including Trump, Giuliani, Mike Lindel, and Republican Secretaries of State investigated and found no evidence of widespread fraud anywhere, that's good enough for me. I believe them, there is no evidence. You don't need to rely on Barr to tell you that, do you.

^^^^^^ Look at this moron. He's actually denying that Republicans spent millions of dollars investigating the Arizona election and came up with the same count without finding evidence of widespread fraud. :/

They have actually gone into this.

Despite Barr's Nov 9 statement, apparently no investigations were ever done, which was the response to FOIA requests.

I was surprised that at least some cursory effort was not made...

There WAS a cursory effort made. Barr called several Republican officials asking them to look into the claims in their states and they all came up with nothing to support the claims. So Barr didn't waste any more time on them.

There is no reason Barr himself should personally look into frivolous claims that no Republican election authority had any evidence had occurred. Why should he?

Making a few phone calls is not an investigation, nor is assuming in advance there was no problem.

Barr led folks to believe nothing was done other than pack more pounds on his squat frame, but FOIA requests revealed the cold hard truth -- no investigations were done.
