I think it's okay to threaten to "punch 'im out" (that is, defend herself) while Trump is in the process of sending an armed mob to the Capitol with the goal of killing her and Vice President Pence. Trump even agreed with the mob who were chanting that Pence "deserved" to be hanged. His staff heard him say it.

But unlike Republicans, Pelosi said she was willing to go to jail for her actions. Republicans rely on Presidential pardons to get them out of paying for their criminal convictions. However, it is unlikely that Pelosi would be convicted of assault since it would have been an obvious case of self defense.
