Political discussions about everything

No one cares what Taylor Swift thinks of anything, except for teenage girls and johnforbes, of course. (What do those little effete princesses have in common do you think?)

It's really sad that johnforbes sees Taylor Swift as a source for his climate science information.

I have repeatedly told dimwit johnny to stop relying on college drop outs and internet gossip sites to get his science information. Now, apparently, I must also tell him what any intelligent person already knows, which is that you shouldn't get your climate science from pop musicians.

I know, this seems obvious, but apparently no one ever told johnforbes and he's not bright enough to realize it for himself.

One can't help but feel compassion for these terrified children like sillydummy and johnforbes who think that if they can simply find enough hypocrites in the world it will mean that global warming isn't really happening. But it is.

They think that if the find a college dropout who is a hypocrite it will mean that there isn't really a global pandemic at their door, threatening them and their families, but there is. They think that if they can find a hypocrite on an internet gossip site it will mean that dozens of people didn't actually drown in Kentucky from freakish rainfall and unprecedented flooding, but they did. They think that if they find another hypocrite pop star it will mean that wildfires aren't threatening the ancient forests in California and that there hasn't been an unprecedented string of category five hurricanes coming out of the Atlantic, but they have. They think that if they find another hypocrite somewhere that it will mean they won't have to curl up in the fetal position in fear any longer, that all will be right with the world again and they can carry on as usual with their unlimited consumption, their racism and xenophobia, their refusal to look at what science is telling them, and their longing for a strongman authoritarian who will simply tell them what to do with their worthless, cowardly lives, that somehow they won't have to endure week-long periods of 100 degree temperatures across half of the country any longer, as well as record droughts, record cold spells, record ice pack and glacier losses, record species extinctions, and disappearing water supplies.

But despite sillydummy's and johnforbes' continued inaction, their conservative "wishing" and "wanting" the world's problems would go away, wanting the world to be like it was when they were kids, it won't change the gut-wrenching science telling them that the world of their childhood is gone and their denial of the science is going to get them killed.

johforbes thinks it ridiculous to hypothesize a "vacationing bat" outside of its usual range spreading Covid in China. At the same time he can't make heads or tails of the "vacationing" Beluga whale 100 miles up the Seine, apparently on its way to sight see in Paris. After all, it just couldn't happen, could it.

You dunderheads need to wake up. All the hypocrites in the world won't let you avoid the new reality we are facing, nor will it make your extreme partisan politics work, nor will it make the science backing global warming simply vanish.

The odd thing is, while you gleefully drag out another hypocrite, you NEVER bother to address the actual science you're pretending doesn't exist......but it does exist, and sciencet doesn't care about your partisan bullshit.

I totally agree with Clown that every whale should see the sights of Paris at least once in its long lifetime.

Of course, Paris has been greatly diminished by socialism and stupid immigration policy, but there are still some great places to visit in Paree if you can gaze past the street dregs.

^^^^^^ See? johnny thinks a "vacationing" Arctic whale in the Seine is perfectly understandable, but a "vacationing" bat in China could never happen.

That sort if cognitive dissonance is why it is always so easy for me to find another anti-science hypocrite who denies global warming.

No, I don't think vacationing bats in Wuhan is impossible.

We have all seen them on occasion, with their gaudy Hawaiian shirts, their cheap sunglasses, and their bat sandals.

However, the question is whether it is more likely that the coronavirus outbreak stemmed from the notoriously sloppy bat research lab down the pike or from some bat.

The chief virus researcher for the Lancet has determined the obvious -- that the research lab is where any rational person would look.

But then Clown is a shill of the Chinese.

johnny, as I proved to you by posting the articles about the latest DNA studies of the situation, the most likely scenario (according to a former skeptic) is that the virus came from the Wuhan wet market in two outbreaks a month apart.

All your partisan whinging and whining doesn't change the fact that the best science to date doesn't support you propaganda.

No animal host was ever found, and the lab leak theory was discounted for a full year by the baloney about it being anti-Chinese racism.

The simple truth is that an asian female researcher, a post-doctoral student, was the most persistent voice of reality saying we need to focus on the Wuhan lab where American tax dollars were in part funding research on gain of function (making stronger viruses).
