"In a report published on Friday, the World Health Organization claimed that anxiety and depression rose globally by a staggering 25 percent in the first year of Chinese coronavirus lockdowns, alone. As a result, the report estimated that over one billion people worldwide are now suffering from mental health issues."
#134114
Wow. Now just imagine how many more depressed and mentally ill people there would be if five or ten million more family members had died if there HADN'T been lockdowns in those areas.

Looks like humanity really dodged a bullet there. Thanks for pointing out how much lockdowns helped millions and really saved a lot of lives, johnny. Thanks for the perspective on how much worse things could have been without lockdowns.
#134123
But that is unknown.

It is not logical to give lockdowns credit when all their upfront damages were known -- foreclosure, unemployment, bankruptcy, alcoholism, drug addiction, divorce, etc.

And I've only listed the real maladies from which Clown himself suffers.

Dishonestjohn forgot to mention that the WHO report was not about lockdowns, but about the first year of the COVID pandemic. His unattributed 'quotation' doesn't actually exist from the WHO. He made it up.

From the horse's mouth, what the WHO actually said:

"In the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, global prevalence of anxiety and depression increased by a massive 25%, according to a scientific brief released by the World Health Organization (WHO) today."-WHO
https://www.who.int/news/item/02-03-202 ... -worldwide

No mention of "lockdowns" having anything to do with their findings at all. And the findings were global, so any "Chinese lockdowns" are not relevant anyway. So johnforbes once again fell for the partisan propaganda of his handlers claiming the report was about lockdowns when it wasn't, and then he passed on the lie without checking its veracity, as always.

johnforbes will believe ANYTHING from his handlers without question. That's why his ilk is so valued by Republicans. Their gullible minds are utterly reliable.

As Fauci admitted, lockdowns were used as an incentive to get shots,

Mask wearing was also used as a scare tactic.

As to whether covid caused or exacerbated mental illness, the millions of readers on this fine forum need only look at Clowntoker's postings, which are Exhibit A.
#134139
^^^^^^ Look at johnforbes squirm when forced to face the partisan lie of his OP that he failed to question.

"As Fauci admitted, lockdowns were used as an incentive to get shots,"-johnfoibles

If that's true (and I'm too tired to waste time proving it's just another of johnny's myriad lies) then it's a good thing. Good for Fauci. That's the difference between medical best practices and practical public health measures. Public health measures are designed to get people to do the right thing for the sake of the greater good when their tendency is to be fucking imbeciles, even when facing possible death. johnforbes is living proof of this with his continued criticism of vaccines and masks.

"Mask wearing was also used as a scare tactic."-johnfibs

Sure, dimwit, that's why every medical facility here and around the world STILL have staff wearing masks. They're clearly wasting that money on useless supplies just to scare people. You fucking idiot. That's not even a good diversion from your getting caught in your partisan lie. Sadly for you, we all still know you were duped yet again.
#134148
If he did, then good for him. He clearly understands his job in public health, doesn't he.

johnforbes always pretends that half of the human race doesn't possess below average intelligence. But they do.

And many, many of them are Trump supporters who stupidly politicize public health instead of saving their lives by protecting themselves and others with rational precautions such as vaccines, masks, distancing, frequently washing hands, etc..

Even johnforbes (who pretends he's a genius) is here criticizing those who are desperately trying to save his worthless life and the lives of his family. And he does this for purely partisan political reasons directed at those of below average intelligence. That's how little he values the lives of his family. Not too bright, is he.

You should be thanking Fauci for doing a good job, dimwit, not criticizing him.

Now, when are you going to apologize for once again posting an easily provable lie, johnny? Why the desperate need to distract from your partisan gullibility?
#134170
I understand the WHO wan't talking about the impact of "Chinese lockdowns" the way you lied to us in your OP.

If only you could understand it as well. Reality is not something to flee, johnny. Why do you fear the truth so much that you can't even admit you were wrong?
#134186
"Okay, I will admit to having been wrong once.
It was a misty, somewhat cool morning in mid-April 1937."-johnforbes

It's really surprising to see johnforbes admit that he was wrong at the moment of his conception.

It's sort of like johnforbes' 'original sin' I suppose.

I'm sure his mother felt the same way. Too bad abortion wasn't a realistic option back then, same as today in quite a few states.
#134193
Overturning Roe (and apparently RINO Roberts didn't join that particular ruling, just the other one) merely returns the issue to where abortion belongs, the states.

Same is true of gay marriage.

If the states want civil unions, or gay marriages between Clown and one of his boyfriends, that heated homo heaving hedonism would be heaped on hemp-addled hombres hewn from the same material.
#134201
Regarding such personal decisions.....now the politicians will be deciding what medical options people have?

The conservatives are the ones who reject science, math, history and are proponents of "intelligent design." Now these people will be the ones who will be dictating what we can and can't do becuase it does not explicitly say so in the constitution?

It's as if conservatives are fixated on moving the country backwards in time back to the bad old days....
#134228
johnforbes has really taken his distractions from his opening lie far afield.

He somehow thinks if he can act a big enough partisan jackass, no one will remember his chronic dishonesty and gullibility.

That's just one more thing in a long list that johnforbes is wrong about.
#134242
Be careful what you ask for. They may go and shut down the log cabin republican club.

On a side note, they are saying that Trump went around chucking plates, flipping over tables, and trying to grab the steering wheel of the limo...so maybe it was true that the lockdown exacerbated mental illness.
