They have said they want violence and civil war in so many words.
That's what the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers were hoping to start that day.
The Oath Keepers was started by this brilliant guy: "[Stewart] Rhodes had been talking about civil war since he founded the Oath Keepers, in 2009." "Rhodes had joined the military just out of high school, hoping to become a Green Beret, but his career was cut short when he fractured his spine during a parachute training jump. [johnny? Is that you?] After his discharge, he worked as a firearms instructor and parked cars as a valet. In 1993, he dropped a loaded handgun and it shot him in the face, blinding him in his left eye. [honestly] The brush with death inspired him, at 28, to enroll in community college. He went on to the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, where he graduated summa cum laude, and then to Yale Law School, [are you SURE that's not you, johnny?] where he won a prize for a paper arguing that the Bush administration’s enemy-combatant doctrine violated the Constitution."-Atlantic
"It is CRITICAL that all patriots who can be in DC get to DC to stand tall in support of President Trump’s fight to defeat the enemies foreign and domestic who are attempting a coup, through the massive vote fraud and related attacks on our Republic. … [W]e will also have well armed and equipped QRF [quick reaction force] teams on standby, outside DC, in the event of a worst case scenario, where the President calls us up as part of the militia to assist him inside DC."-Stewart Rhodes
He admits he was planning armed violence that day. That's why they were there on Jan. 6th. johnfibs keeps saying the rioters were "unarmed." Rhodes himself said they weren't unarmed.
The Proud Boys also admitted to intentionally starting violence: "Of the 40 conspiracy defendants, the vast majority are either Oath Keepers or Proud Boys.
These two groups appear to have played an outsized role in the events of that day, and their cases should hold particular interest for those trying to understand the causes of the insurrection. Some of these individuals—mainly Proud Boys—stand accused of having played crucial roles in initiating the violence that day and in “getting the normies” around them “all riled up,” as one Proud Boy later bragged of having done."-Lawfare
"Several days later, the statement said, [Proud Boy Ryan Keith] Ashlock sent a message to others, saying, “America needs a civil war. The government can’t win one and the rest of the world goes into chaos with us.” Ashlock, 23, was the second member of the Kansas City Proud Boys group to plead guilty in the case."-Kansas City Star
These are the guys who support Trump and that johnforbes swears didn't intend any violence that day. Yes, johnny is THAT partisan, gullible, and dishonest.
