Cruz was not seeking answers. He was seeking to make someone look suspicious when there is nothing suspicious going on even though they were answering truthfully.

The truth is an excellent defense.

Since we are apparently talking almost exclusively about overly partisan people showing up to air their grievances or even riot, what harm would there be in taxpayers being given the total truth about what happened?

Given DC, there would be overlapping jurisdictions, and a goodly amount of complexity, so it is likely agents and informants from several agencies would have been there.

But this was all more than a year ago, and Democrats baled about as much political hay as they can, so why not just release all the video, release all the details, and let the sunshine disinfect it all?

After all the media coverage, why not tell us what the heck happened that day instead of spinning it to help Dems or Repubs?
