Political discussions about everything

As always, johnforbes has no thoughts, as his many threads (such as this one) containing no thoughts demonstrate.

But I hope Jenner gets the nomination.

It would be hilarious to see Republicans forced to vote for a transgender candidate.

And it would be hilarious to see johnforbes and sillydummy desperately defending Jenner despite their highly sexist natures.

Once more Republicans display their fundamental hypocrisy, after insisting mail-in ballots are unsafe and led to massive fraud causing Trump to lose:

"California Republicans launching campaign to boost trust in mail-in voting"

"California Republicans will launch a campaign on Friday to convince conservatives to trust the state's mail-in balloting system, hoping to boost turnout in the election to recall Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom, party officials said."

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... li=BBnb7Kz

Republicans are trying to convince Trump supporters in California that mail-in ballots are very secure. They're so desperate to vote Newsom out that they are actually resorting to the truth, that mail-in ballots are safe after all, and essentially calling Trump a liar.

You can't make this shit up.

If anybody claims mail ballots are secure, in the face of the enormous evidence from the New York TImes and elsewhere that it is not, then they lose credibility.

Mail ballots (based on covid) were the key to the 2020 election, along with courts such as the elected and Dem-led PA Sup Ct giving extra time to "count" and "find" votes for senile Joe.
#131928
Mail ballots are inherently difficult to secure.

Democrats were pointing that out after the 2020 primary season, and the NY Times did some interesting reports on that.

Mail ballots were the key to the Nov 2020 election, and courts which gave more time to vote or count votes helped to "fortify" the election for Democrats as the Newsweek article set forth.
#131990
Democrats found mail ballots more difficult to secure, and made news in the 2020 primary season with articles in the NY Times on the topic.

Then, as the year went on, Dems sensed the opportunity to use mail ballots to their benefit...

Sure, johnny, THAT'S why Republicans are telling everyone in California that mail in ballots are safe and secure.

Because Republicans are all a bunch of liars, right?

Your simultaneous support for and contempt of Republicans is really puzzling, johnny.

But being a hypocrite, that's actually a trait you find attractive in a political party.

More difficult to secure than what? ~~ elkin
Than voting in person...you idiot. That's the most secure ballot of all..!!
FACT: Mail-in ballots are secure

MYTH: Mail-in ballots are more likely to be lost or not counted

Fears of lost or uncounted ballots are not unfounded. In communities of color, this skepticism is rooted in the long history of voter suppression targeting people of color. In the South, for example, various Jim Crow voter restrictions blocked the Black vote for decades. Other communities of color, such as Indigenous people, have also experienced systemic disenfranchisement even after nominally getting the right to vote.

Other fears may be rooted in memories of the messy, contested presidential election of 2000, which led to several recounts that often centered on the question of which ballots counted, and which did not. But the vast majority of ballots that were tossed out were cast in person.

The truth is, casting a ballot by mail is a secure way to vote. The USPS delivers each ballot to the voter securely, and all states have a method for tracking who receives a mail-in ballot. In many states, the mail-in ballot envelope is stamped with a barcode to match each individual voter. Mail-in ballots leave a paper trail and the process of counting them can be audited to ensure checks and balances.

Vote by mail also helps to advance equal access to the ballot among communities of color, and the more people vote by mail, the more efficiency we’ll see at the polls for those who choose to vote in person.

In August 2020, in the wake of the primary problems for Dems, the NY Times did a good series of articles on the problems of mail ballots.

They are not secure, their chain of custody is often unknown, and ballot "harvesting" is a recipe for fraud.

However, Dems appear to have learned and by the autumn of 2020 they were realizing that mail ballots, plus illegal extension of voting such as the PA Sup Ct allowed in PA (without the PA legislature as the US Constitution contemplates) had promise given a senile candidate waging a pathetic "campaign" from his basement and events with only 10 or 15 people showing up.

Just as one example, the PA setup had an outer and inner evelope. The outer envelope had the voter signature exposed, which was an invitation to fraud, and once the two envelopes were separated nobody could go back and see who the voter was or even if his/her vote got counted.

Set aside partisanship, and the mechanics of voting are a disgrace. You should be able to go back, even years later, and find out if you voted got counted and if it went to the candidate you wanted.

Well, the "fiscally responsible Republicans" just pissed away $279 million of taxpayer money on a ridiculous, posturing, boondoggle recall election against a guy who had committed no crimes in office. They didn't even allege any criminal behavior by Newsom.

These are the same Republicans who were against impeaching a guy who committed multiple crimes in office.

What a bunch of partisan hypocrites.
#132027
A recall election doesn't have to be about obvious crimes, although Newsom welcoming illegal immigrants and giving them free welfare is criminally stupid.

At this point, if the votes were fairly counted (likely not), California voters get what they voted for -- open borders, endless lockdowns, an idiot for a governor.
#132038
Remember how johnforbes was so upset about spending $35 million over two years on the Mueller Report to actually investigate criminal behaviors? He was outraged over the immense waste of tax dollars for what he claimed were purely partisan purposes. (Never mind that the Mueller probe uncovered tax evasion and fraud that resulted in $42 million returning to the government.)

But johnny has no problem at all spending $279 million of taxpayer money for purely partisan purposes to try to recall a guy no one believes committed any crimes but whom johnforbes simply happens to dislike for telling him he has to wear a mask while attempting to infect his victims with COVID. johnny doesn't believe anyone has the right to tell him he can't infect whomever he pleases. After all, this is America, where johnforbes is sublimely oblivious of past Supreme Court decisions telling him otherwise.

That's how mentally ill hypocritical Republicans like johnforbes are.
#132040
As the Sussmann indictment showed, the Russia collusion stuff was all nonsense and thus there was no reason for the Mueller probe (as they all knew).

Sussmann was working for Hillary, but shopping the Russia tale to our ace "investigative" people which apparently checked nothing as long as it was anti-Trump.
#132043
^^^^^^See what I told you? johnforbes couldn't care less about Republicans spending $279 million on partisan bullshit for nothing at all besides partisan posturing, but he is outraged that Mueller spent $35 million that uncovered real tax evasion and bank fraud that netted the government millions more than the investigation cost. johnny's only idiotic response is that Manafort's tax evasion should never have been investigated in the first place.

johnforbes never hesitates to reveal his partisan hypocrisy. He's actually proud of it. He believes it is okay for Republicans to be hypocrites, but that Democrats uncovering tax evasion and bank fraud is wrong. This is because it is rich white people who are the tax cheats. It is simply getting too close to johnny's own shady home for his comfort because they'll be coming for him next.

"...California voters get what they voted for -- open borders, endless lockdowns, an idiot for a governor."-johnfibs

So "endless lockdowns" (which don't actually exist, dimwit johnny made them up) Instead, they have intelligent public health policies--- hmmmm, let's look at what that achieved, shall we?

"ASSOCIATED PRESS
LOS ANGELES — California has the lowest coronavirus transmission rate of any state following a sharp decline in cases and hospitalizations after a summer surge.

"The nation’s most populous state is the only one experiencing “substantial” coronavirus transmission, the second-highest level on the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s color-coded map. So is Puerto Rico. In all other U.S. states, virus transmission is labeled as “high,” defined as 100 or more cases per 100,000 people in the last week.

"California’s rate is 94 cases per 100,000. By comparison, Texas is 386 and Florida is 296.

"State health experts say relatively high vaccination rates in California [unlike the low rates in Texas and Florida] ahead of the arrival of the delta variant made a difference, and additional measures, such as masking, also helped stem the surge."

^^^^^^This is the difference between Democrat-run states with sensible public health polices that johnforbes whines about and Republican-run states with their insane public health policies and low vaccination rates among partisan dumbfucks like johnforbes.

And the alleged "open borders" johnny keeps lying about? Let's take a look--

"U.S. and Mexico fly Haitian migrants away from border as pressure builds on Biden

CIUDAD ACUNA, Mexico (Reuters) - Mexico and the United States were on Wednesday preparing to fly more Haitian migrants away from chaotic U.S.-Mexico border camps, as pressure mounted on U.S. President Joe Biden to stop expulsions of Haitians to their poor, disaster-hit homeland.

U.S. authorities have deported more than 500 Haitians since Sunday from a camp housing thousands of mostly Haitian migrants on the U.S. side of border, by the small Texan city of Del Rio.

Such deportation flights back to Haiti would continue, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security said.

At the same time, Mexico has begun flying migrants away from the U.S. border, as well as sending some by bus, towards its border with Guatemala in the south.

"U.S. authorities have ordered an investigation into an incident in which mounted U.S. border agents used their reins like whips to intimidate migrants trying to cross the Rio Grande border river."-Reuters

So clearly this is hardly the "open borders" johnny keeps lying about.

And the "idiot for a governor"? California's obviously beats the idiot that Texas has for a governor or the idiot Florida has for a governor, doesn't it, dimwit.

Now comes the sad part.

The head of jokingly called "Security" had no idea, when asked by Senator Johnson, how many illegals his agency had let in to wander around the land.

Some sources say 1 million new illegal aliens were let in by Joe since January, but others say 1.3 million up to 1.5 million.

I don't know the precise number, nor do the people at the jokingly called "security" agency which should know.

Nor does Clown know.

The only thing all sources agree on is that, with Joe's open borders since January and the staggering number of illegals detained, the total must exceed ONE MILLION NEW ILLEGAL ALIENS AT LEAST SINCE JANUARY.

America can't have open borders and still remain a country with defined borders and a unique culture, but of course Democrats hate American citizens.
