Political discussions about everything

Clearly johnforbes once again made the ignorant mistake of believing his personal political opinion is some universal truth because he saw his own simple-minded opinion on a Youtube video expressed in terms any dimwit could consume and congratulate himself about it. It's on a website so it must be true. Did you hear the part how the guy claimed to be Irish, just like johnny?

If only johnny would read Lippmann and Hume or something, he would realize he can't actually know anything.

What personal opinion?

I merely posted a video.

As to whether my personal or political opinions are the same as universal wisdom, they aren't.

They are opinions.

Clowntoker should indeed read Hume, and Kant, and other students of epistemology.

johnny, he echos all the nonsense you have posted here over the years. You and he are clearly cut from the same Irish linen.

That's why you think that video is somehow relevant enough to post when it isn't, because you confuse your personal opinion with some cosmic truth. Clueless nut jobs come in all colors and consistently in at least one political party.

You honestly don't seem to grasp how shallow his world view is, just as you are unaware of how shallow and painfully convoluted your own world view is. Particularly your idiotic contention that political opinions and rhetoric are about epistemology in any way. They aren't. 90% of Americans have never even heard of epistemology and their political opinions wouldn't change in the least if they finally did learn of it.

Meanwhile, you need to get over your self-delusional 'cosmic' belief that you are the only person who ever went to school and read people like Hume and Gödel.

Of course, a course in epistemology wouldn't change the opinions of millions of Americans.

But, for a person who aspires to make some sense of the buzz of existential events, a course therein is extremely valuable.

Most people do confuse -- and conflate -- their own political opinions with universal truth.

My own opinions are the product of my education and experience.

Other people -- such as Clown -- have less of both and thus different opinions.
