1960s: Low taxes for the wealthy

2021: Restrict voting, promote debunked conspiracy theories, riot in the Capitol to overthrow the Constitution and threaten elected officials of both parties, use race to further divide the country, never propose solutions to any problems, refuse to get vaccinated, wear masks, or keep distance to protect America from a pandemic
(Oh yeah, Even Lower taxes for the wealthy--some things never change)

Once again johnforbes has failed to refute a thing I said (because he can't refute it) and can only bring up more partisan bullshit distractions that no one was talking about and that have nothing to do with my salient points.

Then he throws in his ubiquitous ad hominem attack for good measure to further demonstrate his intellectual impotence.

Yes, I do sometimes toss in something personal just to add a dash of spice to the compelling sweep of inexorable logic in my nonpareil postings.

Thanks for noticing.

Good Lawd have mercy..........the "you lost, get over it" Trump crowd from 2016 clings to the fantasy that this is still Trump's America, because they lost, and they can't get over it.

Evolution of the Right

"A GOP strategist has likened the Republican Party under the influence of former President Donald Trump to "neofascism."

She [Susan Del Percio] was discussing the decision of Texas GOP chairman Allen West to enter the the state's gubernatorial race. West has attracted criticism for his association with the far-right QAnon movement, having attended a conference where several prominent QAnon figures were present in June.

Del Percio told MSNBC: "Really, I've been looking for a new word for 'Trumpism' because I hate it, because I think it goes deeper than just Donald Trump within the Republican Party. And I keep coming back to the same name. It's neofascism. Forget Trumpism. It's neofascism. That's what the grassroots of the party looks like right now."

The comments come amid concern about links between far-right extremists and the GOP undiminished following January's Capitol riot.

In the interview, Del Percio, who is a member of the anti-Trump Lincoln Project of former Republican strategists, said that the GOP in its current manifestation needs to be destroyed.

"It needs to burn down. It literally needs to be demolished before you can go in and build it up again," she said."-Business Insider

"Another Alleged Oath Keeper Pleads Guilty To Jan. 6 Conspiracy

"An alleged member of the Oath Keepers has pleaded guilty to charges connected to the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol and agreed to cooperate with the government in its conspiracy case against the extremist group.

Mark Grods entered a plea of guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of obstruction of an official proceeding. According to the statement of offense, the conspiracy's aim was to stop Congress' certification of the Electoral College count.

The plea marks another step forward for prosecutors pursuing a broader conspiracy case against 16 alleged members or associates of the Oath Keepers, a far-right, anti-government group. Last week, one of the defendants in that case pleaded guilty to conspiracy and obstruction, and agreed to cooperate with investigators."-NPR

But johnforbes ignores Republican leaders actually censoring information and is willfully blind to these other threats from GOP authoritarians and rightist conspiracy to destroy our republic.

Had it been a credible election, everybody would have been "over it" as the kids say.

However, there is only one reason Dems oppose election audits -- because they have much to hide

"Had it been a credible election, everybody would have been "over it" as the kids say."-johnflubs

Well, at least johnforbes is admitting that Republicans are merely intellectual "kids" since they are the ones who first dragged out that silly line after Trump won in 2016. You always stick your foot in it, johnny, accidentally ridiculing the Republicans.

"However, there is only one reason Dems oppose election audits -- because they have much to hide"-johnfibs

johnny, Dems oppose further audits because two or three are enough in any given state. Arizona and Georgia are some of those states with multiple recounts and audits. Further investigations into them serve NO PURPOSE. The election is over, it was certified by each state, voted on by the Electoral College, and then certified by Congress.

That's why Dems oppose further audits. Because they follow the Constitution.

Republicans, on the other hand, want more redundant audits because they hate America and want to destroy our Democracy. The proof of this claim is that there is no other possible results from any audit. Either the partisan audit by non-state clowns with no knowledge of performing an audit will come back saying Trump won, in which case Republicans will tear the country apart with guns and and riots, or else the audits will come back affirming Biden's win, in which case johnforbes will refuse to accept the results as partisan corruption and will tear the country apart with guns and riots.

There is no upside to audits at this point. Biden is President. It's decided and irreversible. Trump will never be President again.

The only thing that is not over is johnforbes' incessant, impotent, partisan whining.

Everybody deserves to know, and believe, that their vote will be counted.

There is one reason Dems oppose audits, and that is that they fear the truth coming out.

Why was vote counting stopped at 10 pm in several key states with Trump far ahead?

Where did all the mysterious votes come from, all for Biden, in the middle of the night?

Why were rules on bipartisan observation of vote-counting violated repeatedly?

In Phily, the vote counters cheered when Republican observers were kicked out of a counting place? Why were they happy to not be watched?

^^^^^Look at that weasel johnny desperately try to distract from the topic.

He hasn't got a thing to say about the evolution of the respective party philosophies, not even the one he started himself.

johnny knows his bullshit is indefensible so he flails about trying to change the subject to something from another thread.

But he wasn't doing too well on that thread either.

"Why was vote counting stopped at 10 pm in several key states with Trump far ahead?"-johnflubs

If the count was stopped when Trump was ahead, then Trump would have won, right? Criminy, just how stupid can you be? But the count wasn't stopped. You made it up. The count went on for days until all ballots were counted.

"Where did all the mysterious votes come from, all for Biden, in the middle of the night?"-johnfibs

Duh, they came from Democrat counties that had just delivered their ballots as early as possible from miles away per their standard practice.
There were no mysterious ballots, dimwit. Every case of supposed 'mystery ballots' was investigated by Republican officials and they were all found to be valid ballots. This bullshit has all been debunked, much of it by Republican election officials themselves. Try to keep up with the six-month-old news, dummy. Your willful ignorance is no longer an excuse.

"Why were rules on bipartisan observation of vote-counting violated repeatedly?"-johnflubs

Yes, why did the Republicans keep violating the rules to the point that they were thrown out, johnny? Good question.

"In Phily, the vote counters cheered when Republican observers were kicked out of a counting place?"-johnflubs

Because the Republicans kept violating the rules. We just went over this. Why do you support Republicans violating the rules?

Now, try to get back on topic about the disturbing evolution of political viewpoints. You have completely ignored the conspiracy of the rightist Oath Keepers to overthrow the government. And you ignored the Republican strategists who are criticizing the Party's fascism from the inside.

Try to evolve into the 20th century, johnny.

Although the rain is pouring down in the summer afternoon, I'd be delighted to talk about the philosophy of the Democrats.

They favor open borders, and HR-1 would have removed all state voter ID rules.

Democrats favor socialism and open bordes, which have ruined California.

Socialism and stupid immigration policy have wrecked France, the UK, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc.
By Clownkicker

johnny, to discuss the philosophy of the Democrats you first need to say something that is true about their philosophy.

You never post evidence from any authoritative source (such as laws on the books) to support your made up stupid shit.

You don't get to simply attribute non-factual made up 'philosophy' to Democrats to argue your case. You must present facts and real examples.

For example, you keep lying outright that "Democrats want open borders." But so far this year Biden has arrested over a million immigrants at the border. That's a fact, and that fact does not jibe with your idiotic claim about Democrats wanting open borders, does it.

Another example: "Socialism and stupid immigration policy have wrecked France, the UK, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc."-johnfibs

Those countries are not "wrecked". (THAT is just your personal partisan opinion, dummy, not a fact) They are still there and are stable governments, unlike our own that is being destabilized by Republicans, not Democrats, because Republicans are refusing to accept the results of our electoral system. That is directly "wrecking" our country by causing armed uprisings and violent protests in support of white supremacy and traitorous flags of rebels against the Constitution.

I could go on and on, but every sentence you post contains three or four errors/lies which I do not have time to refute. The Republican/rightist plan is to "bury 'em in bullshit" to make rational responses to it all impossible.

Democrats want to redistribute wealth. Even Obama admitted it.

Taxing successful people more is just that.

They favor open borders, and HR-1 would have removed all state voter ID rules.

Democrats favor socialism and open bordes, which have ruined California.

Socialism and stupid immigration policy have wrecked France, the UK, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, etc.
