Anat Kimchi, working on a doctorate in criminal justice at the U of MD, went to Chicago presumably for field work.

Of course, she could have simply gone to Baltimore, which is very different than described in Bobby Bare's song "Streets of Baltimore."

Anyhow, Kimchi was stabbed to death in Chicago, and the suspect is just like those she felt were maligned unfairly -- young black male with dreadlocks.
