Political discussions about everything

johnny, please link to the alleged video where the "leftist' admitted Trump was correct.

All your link connects to is a video of a guy saying Trump lied about all sorts of things and that"We don't know, we just don't know, we absolutely don't know" if the virus is from China.

Just so you know, calling someone a liar is not the same as saying they are correct. Quite the opposite.
#130815
johnny, you really should watch your own videos.

In THAT video, the guy said Trump lied about a lot of stuff and that "We don't know, we just don't know, we absolutely don't know" if the virus is from China.

That's a quote from your linked video, so you are obviously mistaken.

Your handlers have put one over on you again because they know you don't watch the news and you are a partisan tool who will regurgitate anything they tell you to believe.

In THAT video, the guy said Trump lied about a lot of stuff and that "We don't know, we just don't know, we absolutely don't know" if the virus is from China.

The guy calling Trump a liar and at the same time saying he doesn't know the truth...
is a roundabout saying Trump is correct...!

An unlikely source, Vanity Fair, has a June article about covid origin and partial US funding of gain of function research.

When former CDC head Redfield suggested the lab leak theory: "I was threatened and ostracized because I proposed another hypothesis. I expected it from politicians, but didn't expect it from science."

The Lancet letter was orchestrated by Daszak (who had a conflict of interest) and used by "fact checkers" to censor questions about the lab leak theory.

Democrat Jamie Metzl (JD Harvard, DPhil Oxon) did a great job of looking for whatever might be true in the zoonotic v. lab leak war of rhetoric.

Remember when johnforbes started those threads about the Trump Administration altering and censoring the NIH reports about COVID?

No?

Me either. Just chirping crickets from johnny on those occasions. The difference is that Trump censored actual useful information that could have actually informed his incompetent response to the pandemic. This particular burr in johnny's panties doesn't change a thing for anyone as far as pandemic response goes.

johnforbes just can't get enough of dishonest partisan hypocrisy.

Follow the science.

For a year, the zoonotic theory prevailed because Daszak and Fauci tried to divert attention away from the US partly funding gain of function research at the Wuhan Ins of Virology.

Now EVERYBODY, on the Left too, realize that the lab leak theory always made more sense.
#130843
johnny, please quote EVERYBODY on "the Left" admitting that the lab leak theory "always made more sense."

Or quote FIVE people on "the Left" who believe it.

Or quote even a SINGLE PERSON on "the Left" saying they realize "the lab leak theory always made more sense."

You won't because you can't. You made it up.

People who actually "follow the science" (this leaves you out) still don't know the origin. And the fact that you insist that the lab leak theory "always made more sense." just shows you don't follow the science. You wield science only as a political weapon, and you do a pathetic job at that.

There is only circumstantial evidence of a lab leak. There is evidence in the lab records that that the lab was not the source. Those three sick lab employees are also people who live in Wuhan and who eat food from its markets and interact with other residents. They could have just as easily contracted the virus in the course of their everyday life just like everyone else in Wuhan did. There is no evidence that they didn't.

Proof of your lie is that I (who you always call a member of "the Left") do not believe that "the lab leak theory always made more sense." It still doesn't. So clearly "EVERYBODY, on the Left too," DOESN'T "realize that the lab leak theory always made more sense." Neither you nor anyone in the Republican Party has the foggiest idea which theory makes the most sense even now. Criminy, you clowns still believe HCQ protected India and Thailand against COVID. It obviously didn't. And you believe that COVID was around the U.S. a year before the China outbreak because of a study on old blood samples. But that doesn't stop you from saying just the opposite when it is politically expedient.

You really need to leave your partisan politics out of this, johnny.

The wet market game is over, and even ABC and CNN have gotten the memo.

Heck, Vanity Fair got the memo.

#130850
Thanks to Trump and his cronies unprecedented track record lying nd race-baiting they had less than zero credibility to conduct a fair and impartial investigation of how COVID-19 originated.

Now the Chinese government obviously stonewalled investigators. Whether they did it as an authoritarian knee jerk reaction or to cover up a lab leak will probably be never known.........
#130851
Elkin makes several valid points.

China is authoritarian, and has covered up.

However, we do know the boyfriend of a female research, and 3 or 4 other folks at the Wuhan lab, got sick with respiratory problems at the key time.

Daszak ran Ecohealth and, when he orchestrated the Lancet letter, it was almost surely just a coverup because he got money from ongoing funding of such research.

Fauci first lied about funding gain of function, but then Rand Paul and others noted that American taxpayers paid and Congress had the "receipts."

The game of pretending it was the wet market, rather than the lab a bit less than 8 miles down the road, is over.

Fauci was also told by a top researcher of the possibility that parts of the virus were engineered. This was surprising even to me and I had been skeptical from the start about the games played by Fauci on masks and herd immunity percentages.

Well, johnfibs still refuses to post any evidence that "Now EVERYBODY, on the Left too, realize that the lab leak theory always made more sense." So I am once again forced to do his homework for him and prove that he lied.

"There's still no evidence of a Chinese lab leak"
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/th ... li=BBnb7Kz

"While most of the virologists who spoke to NBC News said the coronavirus probably evolved in nature, they agreed that it's reasonable to look into the possibility that it came from a lab.

At the heart of those suspicions is the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a research facility founded in the 1950s that was the first in China to receive the highest level of biosafety clearance. The institute's lab has a biosafety level of 4 (known as BSL-4, the highest level), meaning it is equipped to study the world's highest-risk infectious agents and toxins, those that require the strictest biocontainment measures. It's that designation, and the lab's location in the city where the outbreak was first reported, that made the institute an early suspect.

"If we had a pandemic that was sourced near to a BSL-4 lab in the U.S., the first thing you would be asking is if they were working with that pathogen in that lab," said an expert on evolutionary genetics of infectious diseases, Andrew Read, a professor of biology at Penn State.

Still, he cautioned that while a lab leak is plausible, that doesn't necessarily mean it's the most probable explanation."

"There has been no new evidence over the past 16 months that the virus had a lab origin," said Maciej Boni, an associate professor of biology at Penn State University, who specializes in tropical disease epidemiology and viral evolution."

Read the article and finally understand the truth about what your handlers are dishonestly feeding you, johnny.
Stop falling for unscientific partisan propaganda for dishonest partisan political purposes.

There is still no evidence of a lab leak. You haven't produced any, nor have your handlers. Coincidence is not scientific evidence of cause and effect. It isn't even a scientific LINK to the observed effect. "EVERYBODY" absolutely DOES NOT think the lab leak theory always made more sense, as this article proves.
#130965
Nobody said the lab leak theory was proven.

Given China's dishonesty, and that of the US press, that would be quite a feat to accomplish.

The point is that now everybody, including Fauci, looks at a lab leak as the most likely hypothesis.

If I'm wrong, Clown will prove the animal host.

It figures that johnforbes gets his 'scientific' opinions from watching comedy schtick from his handlers and confusing show business with science.

johnforbes didn't notice a thing about the premise of that bit that was factually incorrect. He shows us he actually believes science is (literally) a joke.

And since johnny can't discern the differences between comedy and science, he thinks everyone should simply adopt a 'scientific' attitude just like his own. That's one of the great problems of being born without a sense of humor. Not only do you grow up to be a mean-spirited Republican, but you constantly criticize and ridicule those who are desperately trying their best to save your life and the lives of your family.

If johnforbes actually had a sense of humor, he would realize that HE is the joke that is so tragically laughable.
