You do realize that ALL holidays are fake, right? They are simply made up out of thin air about anything a bunch of people decide they are going to celebrate.

Like our fake Federal holiday of New Years Day, a totally fake, arbitrary holiday which has nothing to do with the measurably real solar new year. And New Years in China is not the New Years in America or the New Years in Israel. What's with that? It's like it's fake or something. They use different calendars. And every few centuries a new calendar is adopted somewhere and New Years changes to another day yet again.

Or like our Federal holiday of Thanksgiving. It was made up by a bunch of people who decided they were going to celebrate giving thanks on the third Thursday in November. It's a different number day each year, sometimes the 25th, sometimes the 26th, sometimes the 28th, totally arbitrary and made up. And it is only celebrated in one country. How fake is that? There is nothing real about it beyond what people decide is real about it, just like New Years, just like Kwanzaa.

But johnforbes is so petty and just plain ignorant that he doesn't understand that his whole cultural life is built on a bunch of arbitrary lies as he denigrates holidays celebrated by other cultures and ethnic groups. To intellectually provincial johnny, if it ain't American and white, it must be "fake" somehow.
