As said many times, I have been in Asia where long ago face masks were routinely worn during flu outbreaks and also in places like Shangahi where pollution is legendary.

Fauci, like the US Surgeon General, and the WHO, they all knew they were spinning fables when they said, through March 31, 2020, that no member of the general population who was healthy needed to wear a mask during covid times.

Fauci lied about that, and later lied about herd immunity, and he admitted both lies, saying they were intended to be constructive lies.

Science can say one thing and public health policy to prevent widespread panics can say another without either being a lie. Everything Fauci said was true on the day he said it. That does not mean it will necessarily be true the following day when the reality of a pandemic changes and more data are collected and more PPE are produced for the general population after frontline workers receive their needed PPE.
